What kind of glass do you use for your MagicMirrors?

Hey everyone!
So I am almost done with the development of my MagicMirror, but I still don’t know something which is very еssential - what kind of glass or material is needed for the mirror - some people on the internet recommend this type of material , but because I don’t live in the US, it will be very expensive to buy it. I live in Europe, so if anybody from here have already done his magic mirror - can you tell me what kind of materials did you use for the mirror. Every local company that I asked offers me a “spy mirror” .Some people told me that a real glass will help.

Hi there! Hope you enjoyed your build! Yes I personally highly recommend using real glass as I think it looks much nicer! I recommend Two Way mirrors They ship internationally and although they are quite expensive there product is beautiful! Best of luck! I hope you find a good affordable solution soon!

Sorry dude, thats just a dream. You will never be done with it™. And thats the fun thing about this.
Some crazy guys here are developing such nice things, that you always want to “upgrade”, or even make it better.

Maybe it would be helpful to write done the country you are living in, to give you more local specific tips.

I’ve built three mirrors so far. The first was with acrylic and the next two were glass. The glass is definitely the way to go. The acrylic warps a bit so you get a slight funhouse mirror effect, especially along the edges. I built that one in my garage, but it now lives in Florida. The change in climate made the frame expand and put pressure on the edges of the acrylic, making it warp slightly.

The glass doesn’t have this problem. (Although both of those mirrors are local).
