Hi, i have followed the steps in 2.2, it works fine. The issue i have is i don’t want the screen turning off because of my silly lg tv screen saver which i cant disable. So i followed the steps for this in section 6. I created two new screen.sh files, made them executable and changed the relevant bits in the pir.py script. Now nothing happens. i have tried and checked again and again but nothing happens. I am fairly new to all of this and have probably missed something i just dont know what. Please could someone help me with this. Thank you very much

@Asphyth That is your monitor, its not coming from the Pi.

@Asphyth that is the energy star power down requirement. it warns you of no signal, and then is required to turn the display off electrically to save power

You can check if your button works by simply typing python pir.py. Every time u move through the PIR or press the button it will show you several …

@FREIGHTTRAIN Can you elaborate more precisely, what is not working? What have you done? What is the expected behaviour? How does it behave? How to reproduce? That might help in helping you.

                      hi @cruunnerr
I just installed it, everything looks good but not working at all. I tried via 2.1 Using PIR-Module and 2.2 Using PIR-Script both not working, any suggestion how to check where the issue is?

I have had success with your help and my PIR sensor but only after running pir.py from .bashrc

The script is working however I read the following warning when accessing my Magic Mirror with SSH:

RuntimeWarning. This channel is already in use, continuing anyway. io.setup(LED_PIN, io.OUT)

My end result is not affected. The PIR works fine.

                        Thank you
