@potts-mike Curious. And this version is visible from your TV?

RE: ERROR IN STARTING MAGIC MIRROR IN PI ZERO
A couple things. First, please use the markdown features of the forum to make your code easier to read. There’s a nice tutorial on Git.
Secondly, you need to run the
npm install
command in the Magic Mirror folder. So try this:cd ~/MagicMirror npm install

RE: Can't view MM on LG TV WebOS browser - others fine
@potts-mike I don’t think the issue is the virtual host. Docker is a containerization host. Sort of a scaled down hypervisor, where instead of hosting an entire operating system Docker hosts containers for applications. The kicker is that no matter whether the Magic Mirror application is being hosted on a Raspi, a Docker container, an Ubuntu machine or some other device, it is still passing what is essentially a web page to a browser. That web page includes a little bit of HTML, slightly more CSS and a whole lot of Javascript.
Something needs to interpret that web page and that’s going to be a browser. The browser built into the TV may not have several features that are standard for the browsers in your phone, tablet, PC, Raspi, electron, et al. Most likely for security reasons. Possibly. Again, I’d have to do some research as to what’s enabled. It may just be you can configure the TV browser and it will work.

RE: Serveronly Mode Not Running
@kiritowu Ah. Pi Zero. Okay, let’s skip the interface and concentrate on the server only stuff. Let’s try to get the application to install. Try this:
cd ~/MagicMirror sudo npm install
This may take a while before it completes. But hopefully it will install all of the necessary software. Give it a go.

RE: Can't view MM on LG TV WebOS browser - others fine
My initial thought is that the WebOS browser that is included in your TV is probably locked down to within an inch of its life. It may not have Javascript enabled, which is used by the MM framework to load the modules. Possibly. Maybe. I’d have to do some research.
Intriguing idea though.

RE: Serveronly Mode Not Running
@kiritowu - Does running the Magic Mirror normally work? What happens when you enter
npm start

RE: Other options to hanging the mirror on a wall
You could try mounting it flush with the back edge of a dresser. A couple of vertical supports that can be screwed into the back of the dresser can also be attached to the back of the mirror. You could probably get away with a couple of 1" x 1" x 12" wooden boards that are screwed into the mirror box and the back of your dresser.
The whole thing can then be pushed up against a wall and you will have a mirror sitting on your dresser.
Edited to add: Or spring for a couple of flat aluminum stock. 1" wide, 12" long, 1/8" thick or so. Drill holes, screw into dresser & frame. This would add less space to the depth of your setup.

RE: no space on SD-card
@zdenek First, how big is your SD card?
Second, you can probably copy off the
config.js
file out of the/home/pi/MagicMirror/configure
folder and then delete the entire/home/pi/MagicMirror
folder. That should give you enough space to get your Pi back up & running.Third, you can remove the applications that come with the Raspian operating system that aren’t necessary for the Magic Mirror to function with this command:
sudo apt-get remove --purge idle3 java-common libreoffice* minecraft-pi scratch nuscratch penguinspuzzle python-minecraftpi python3-minecraftpi smartsim sonic-pi wolfram-engine
Follow it up with the automated cleanup:sudo apt-get autoremove -y
.That should free up some space once you get your Pi booted again.

RE: First mirror built! DIY frame :P
@idoodler I found out the hard way that the VESA mounts are incorporated into the plastic cover to the monitor. If you remove the back then you lose the VESA mounts.

RE: Girly Modules ??
@4lice - If you know of an RSS feed for “makeup tips of the day” or “Women of Power News” or the like, you can easily add it to the Newsfeed module.
