@sdetweil cheers but I had to leave MMM-SleepWake as I didn’t have a clue how to install the motion project, the more I looked at it the more my tiny brain 🧠 started to smoke 🤯

RE: Clean installation... fails left and right
Yep I tried lite on my Pi 3B+ but it doesn’t work, Stretch desktop works, but think I had to go for the full package ie all the bloat ware, I’ve uninstalled all the rubbish now, but it’s not really an issue for me as I’m running my Pi off of an SSD so no sd card size limit/price, PS I think from what I remember I had to do a manual install and then install PM2 as it didn’t boot MM after reboot

RE: Default Calendar just shows loading
Sorted! I had to download the Magic Mirror from github on the Pi, unzipped it and then copied the whole calendar folder to the module default location and over wrote the calendar folder, it was missing a lot of files for some reason. Anyway enough said it’s working like it should now.

@mwel1977 yep UK local slang, anyway I’ve sorted it now I downloaded the Magic Mirror from github on the Pi, unzipped it and then copied the whole folder to the module default location and over wrote everything, it was missing a lot of files for some reason. Anyway enough said it’s working like it should now 👌🏾

RE: 2318 commits behind...
@savona rename those folders then got pull, then you can delete once MM is working on the new version

RE: MMM-voice ugly hdmi banner
@mdhenriksen so I think I’m boned on this point it can put it to sleep ie just turning off the Pi hdmi rather than the signal to monitor not sure if that’s because I’m using the fork by @cowboysdude? Which I don’t think is the case, I’ll have to look into this some more but now I can actually revive it from no input detected, but the sleep and wake is what I’m after. The TV has a DVI hdmi connection and that is what I have used to rescue it from the HDMI no signal that I couldn’t revive it from.

RE: MMM-voice ugly hdmi banner
@mdhenriksen it switches on via my Apple TV, but not from the Pi, the sceen knows it’s there I have it linked as a settop box so it should be using the hdmi as it does with the Apple TV, for now just need the ugly no signal turning off

RE: MMM-voice ugly hdmi banner
@mdhenriksen hi thanks my monitor is actually a tv samsung ue32j510AKXXU

MMM-voice ugly hdmi banner
Is there anyway to stop the hdmi no signal banner when you put the screen to sleep via voice, for some reason this can’t switch the tv that I’m using on and off it only cuts the Pi signal via hdmi, on my other Samsung tv it turns it completely off and on standby, but for now I just want the ugly banner removed and then I’ll probably install the screen buttons in the frame to turn it on from standby worst case scenario.

RE: Updating 6db61b4..de57daa
@costascontis rename them and the git pull will make a new version of them, but be warned I’m not sure if that’s why calendar just displays loading when it was working on previous but don’t think so as all the other modules work.

RE: Updating 6db61b4..de57daa
@icephreaq no cd MagicMirror then run git pull and the npm install

Default Calendar just shows loading
Hi,
I have just upgraded to MM 2.6.0V and it seems to have broken my calendar as it just shows loading, the calendar has been working fine before the update, my config file hasn’t changed from this{ module: "calendar", header: "UK Holidays", position: "top_left", config: { timeFormat:"absolute", titleReplace: {"United Kingdom:" : ""}, urgency: 0, getRelative: 6, fullDayEventDateFormat: "D MMMM", dateFormat: "D MMMM - H:mm:ss", fetchInterval: 4000000, colored: true, coloredSymbolOnly: true, maximumEntries: 9, showEnd: false, Calendars: [ { symbol: "calendar-check-o ", url: "https://www.officeholidays.com/ics/ics_country_code.php?iso=GB", } ] } }, -
RE: MMM-SleepWake not working
Thanks, Do I just install it like a module? Ie in the magic mirror module location
-
RE: MMM-SleepWake not working
@yawns thanks just got to wait till it sleeps now to test it and then find out where I’m going to install it lol

MMM-SleepWake not working
Well I’ve got the the module installed, and it puts the display to sleep but doesn’t wake the mirror up via motion I have the PS3eye! This is how I have my config file for the module, what have I not done?
{ module: 'MMM-SleepWake', delay: 15, source: 'external', mode: 'PI', }, -
