Firstly, this looks great. I have a couple of questions. How did you get the mirror to be on the frame? Did you glue it or use some sort of two sided tape? Also; what did you use to hang it on the wall?
“How did you get the mirror to be on the frame?”
As is wrote in the initial post i glue it. Scroll up ;)“What did you use to hang it on the wall?”

My 36" Mirror
Hey guys,
thanks for all your great inspiration.
I got an old 32" TV for free.
Wood isnt my prefered material but i think it looks okay for the first mirror :)The main problem starts with the end.
The mirror is quiet heavy (8mm | 80 x 53,3 cm) and because i wont holes in it i need to glue them in any way to the case:
https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/7231/glue-mirror-for-wooden-caseUnfortunately my TV doesnt support HDMI-CEC or anything else that could bring him in standby.
But in the end i do a dirty workaround (black screen) to prevent the to from beeing displayed “no signal” all the time. The mirror has following specs:
- Berechnung nach EN410 und EN673 Außen Innen
Lichttransmission 11 %
Lichtreflexion 42 % 42 %
Energietransmission 13 %
Energiereflexion 34 %
Energieabsorption (1. Scheibe) 53 %
UV-Transmission 1 %
g-Wert 25 %
Farbwiedergabeindex Transmission (Ra) 93
Farbwiedergabeindex Außenreflexion (Ra) 95
The only remeaning problem is from the MMM-Formula1-Module that doesnt load the data reliable.
Here are the Pics:

RE: Glue Mirror for wooden case
Thx for reply.
First i used this tape:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XKBZN5L/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Unfortunately my wooden case isnt 100% even so the tape fits only for ~8h before the mirror came back :/
After long research i ordered “Sikaflex 260 N”
https://deu.sika.com/de/solutions_products/Produkte_a_z/03/03a045/03a045000sa01.htmlFor better glue its advisable that the glue is at least 1,5-2,5mm thick. So i used small short distance holders that i removed until it completely hardened.
Works perfect! :)But if anyone will use this too. Be careful with this glue. Its for industrial designed! Your hands will be very thankfull if you use gloves for work with that.

Video of the ghost in the mirror can be found here: https://youtu.be/6hb1N1tYcPc
As an aside, this morning I changed the command to
omxplayer -p -o local --loop --alpha 85 boo.mp4
to cut the sound from the video file. It woke me up when the mirror switched on this morning at 5 AM.Realy nice solution! Looks awesome!
Could you sum up all the things needed for that?
Reading through this 4 Pages is very difficulty.
Would be very thankful. -
