GitHub/git is a lot more than just “that”. It’s a way for us developer to maintain our code, have multiple versions of the same thing, multiple branches, test ones, etc., etc. It’s a repository. If I make a mistake tonight while coding, I can revert back to an earlier state very easy without needing to remember what I did before I messed up. It’s a beautiful thing.

RE: Why the edit timeout?
Yep, it’s called starting a new post. Let the old one fade away into posterity.

RE: Calendar modification
@MagicCrumps1, perhaps you were using the wrong URL? There’s both a public and a private one. If you use the public URL, then you must also set your calendar to public view. But the private URL has the authentication key in it. No need to make the calendar public.

RE: How to install a module?
Each module should have installation instructions. If you can’t find them, contact the author of the module for them. They should be posted.
As for the clock, that is dependent on your Raspberry Pi, not MM. So if the clock is off, that means you haven’t configured the Raspberry Pi for the correct timezone and city. Please read the documentation on the
'raspi-config'command on how to configure your Raspberry Pi properly. -
RE: First start from the mirror does not work
Will do. Right after I inspect the 3D print that I left going since last night, and I start the next print. And after I swap a laptop with a friend. And after I have dinner. And after I help another friend with their phone. And after i do some laser cutting of mock up pieces for an art piece. And after I dig up the electronic bits I need for a kid’s costume. And after I … and after … and … oh you’ll hear from me some time in 2036. Really, I promise.
(Is there ever such a thing as having too many projects going at the same time?)

RE: Face Recognition with inferred light
That … would make sense. It’s helpful for module writers to check the documentation on the wiki to see what method, classes, or other naming conventions are being used to avoid conflicts.

RE: First start from the mirror does not work
You know, I have a spare rpi-3 sitting at home. I’ll wipe it clean and start fresh when I get home later and see if I run into issues. All in the name of science!

RE: First start from the mirror does not work
I vote no because that’s outside the scope of MM. However, we could adjust the installer to pause and ask the user if they have performed an update/upgrade on their base rpi before continuing on with the MM install. This gives the user an opportunity to exit the installer and do the requires prerequisites before returning to the installer (at which point they can then say ‘yes’ to the question.)

RE: NPM ERR!
@EoF, awesome. Thanks for that. Someone should start collecting all the various keyboard shortcuts and compile them in one post, possibly even on the wiki page. I’ve seen CTRL-W posted, this ALT-F2. One can also completely switch to a virtual console and back to the GUI by hitting CTRL-ALT-F[1-7] …

RE: Monthly Calendar View
Ok all, for all intents and purposes, the current state of the monthly view calendar is done. While I do plan on incorporating more features in it, there’s really nothing that is preventing me from releasing it … except maybe a proper name for the module. And the reason I say that is because of the future plans I have. I could easily call it ‘monthlycalendar’, however when I roll in the weekly view as well, that makes the name not accurate anymore. So yeah … bit of a conundrum. Either I will split out the weekly one into a separate module all together, or I will end up naming this ‘that-calendar-thats-not-the-default-but-has-other-features-in-it’ … you get what I’m saying here.
Time to ponder some things I guess …
