    @muffinimal

    Currently I don't have a mirror yet, since I am having fun configuring MagicMirror itself and I am still deciding on the size of my mirror.

    I am definitely not a developer and will quite likely turn to the helpful people in this forum. I have dabbled in java, matlab, php and a few other languages but every sane programmer will quite likely post all my code to thedailywtf… Hardly any linux experience and I have only used the pi for MM.

    Tinkering with my mirror will involve some (hopefully) not very exciting/hard stuff as I plan to use my google home as my main means of controlling domotics.

      Hey @raywo ,

      Thanks developing this module. It’s one of the first modules I tried to set up on my setup.

      Your instructions on how to configure very clear. Being new to MagicMirror I couldn’t get it to work fully, though. I finally figured out what I did wrong (I am still in the dark as to where I can find some useful logs): I installed your module to /home/pi instead of to the MagicMirror-folder.

      As I didn’t want to bother on finding out on how to uninstall, I simply moved the entire directory to the right place and the module seems to run fine now :D

      Thanks @Chris and @Mykle1!

      You both provided me with more than I was able to find on my own (that is: nothing relevant).

      I’ll stop hijacking this topic and check the above modules out :D

      @Sean Thanks for letting us know. Too bad, that would have been my next step in configuring my mirror.

      I guess I should find out how I can rotate stuff on the mirror then…

      Impressive!

      For now I just want to make a small mirror with an old 17" monitor I have lying around, but posts like yours are gently pushing me in another direction.

      Thanks for taking the time to describe your process!

      @fabbr True, I think that both the forum and another medium serve different functions. Although slack/discord support storing messages, it doesn’t provide the structure forums offer.

      The added value for me of slack/discord/others (even irc) would be to get nudges in the right direction in less time that it usually takes to respond to topics on forums.

      Interesting question. I am also new here and looking for answers. The invite-limit on slack seems to be reached. Discord or reopening access on slack would be great :D
