    • RE: What Monitor did you use?

      I used an Asus MB169B+ which is an external USB C monitor. It’s extremely thin, but I had to get a controller on eBay, since the included controller has only the USB-port (and uses DisplayLink).

    • RE: [ORDER CLOSED] Two way mirror order in Germany

      @Jeff said in Two way mirror order in Germany:

      @lolobyte:
      Maybe I will also use your service and pick the mirror up in Heilbronn. But what will happen, if the mirrors will brake in your car?

      I wouldn’t call it a “service”. @lolobyte and @Goldjunge_Chriz are just doing a huge favor to all of us and I’m sure they handle the mirrors very carefully. If - still - something goes wrong, we shouldn’t hold them liable (in my opinion).
      Everyone is free to order the mirror somewhere else (and pay for insurance / delivery).

    • RE: Proximity sensor "switch" behind mirror?

      I recently replaced the PIR sensor of my mirror with this microwave radar sensor:

      https://m.ebay.de/itm/5-8GHZ-Microwave-Radar-Sensor-6-9M-Smart-Switch-for-Home-Control-3-3-20V-DC-New/272851896102?hash=item3f873d8726:g:12cAAOSwk~NZv24a

      I mounted behind the mirror glass and it works like a charm. It’s compatible with @Paviros PIR module / can be used as drop in replacement fir the PIR sensor.

    • RE: MagicMirror Pimatic (Home Automation) Dashboard

      @binderth
      When using REST you need to poll / ask pimatic for updated values in a regular interval. With WebSockets pimatic can push changed values. This is less overhead and minimizes delays.
