@twowaymirrors I’m really happy with the 1/4" smart mirror glass I ordered from you guys. Packaging was great as well.

I’m no expert, but have been playing around with MMM-Voice and Kalliope. I started off with a mini usb mic. It sorta worked, but had very mixed results. I bought a PS3 eye from amazon and I’m amazed how much better all voice mods are working now. Thank you for the assist. Its amazing what a good mic will do. I cant get the ReSpeaker 4-mic to work, but that’s not a fault of Kalliope. I dont think it works with the new RPi’s or I received a dead one. I tested with the PS3 eye and it works great. Almost no delay. I even changed up my design to mimic yours a bit. Thank you again. You’ve been a great help here and on gitter.

What TTS and STT are you using? I’ve been playing around with Kalliope using the default Google tts and stt. The results are hit and miss. Even when it does recognize what I’m saying, the longer I use it, the longer it takes to process what I’m saying. I have two better mic options (ps eye and ReSpeaker) arriving on Monday. I’ve read that having a better mic might provide better performance. I’m also thinking of switching the tts and stt but wanted to know what you were using before I do.

I cant answer that. Its just the route I went. Maybe the foil gives the mirror a bit of a fun house effect? I have no idea really.

@Bakuretsu Thank you. I’ll post pics of the process. I started messing around with MM last year. At the time the voice stuff ran really slowly so that’s why I wanted the IR frame. Now with the new RPi 3 model B+ that was just released, the voice integration is fairly quick. Having fingerprints on the mirror gets to be annoying so I may remove it all together or at least make sure none of the touch related functions are in the middle of the mirror. Stay tuned :)

@maxbachmann I’m guessing you’re not in the states then :) I paid $19 for shipping. The mirror itself is expensive, but they are really really nice.

@buzztiger I measured the IR frame and ordered the same size mirror from https://www.twowaymirrors.com/smart-mirror/. The size is 13.625" x 22.438" x 1/4"

@idoodler Totally agree, but for css and location changes, ctrl r saves a ton of time.
