but since today, the two lowest of my four zoom levels seem to have stopped working
they are definitely gone …
I used for several years
mapPositions: [ { lat: ${LAT}, lng: ${LON}, zoom: 9, loops: 1 }, { lat: ${LAT}, lng: ${LON}, zoom: 8, loops: 1 }, { lat: ${LAT}, lng: ${LON}, zoom: 7, loops: 1 }, { lat: ${LAT}, lng: ${LON}, zoom: 6, loops: 1 }, ],and now found in their docs
Maximum zoom level is 7.Another restriction is that there is no forecast anymore (as already stated in the module readme).
That’s a shame, it unfortunately devalues the module.

@karsten13 Thanks for investigating! It’s really a shame. I’ll update the docs.

colorSchemeseems to be useless too, the docs only mention2which is the default in the module, if I try other values there is no difference. -

I’m using https://globe.airplanes.live/ and they have a RainViewer Layer which still works when zooming in - maybe they use a license key …

Another approach I played with is using german dwd data (problem: germany only), tested this in my MMM-Flights module:

Thanks for that too! I just updated the docs.

I’ve thought about that too, but it would probably be more a matter for a new module.

Hi, I’m trying to set the market in the config file. I see 2 markers with different lat and long. What do they represent each? Same for the markers options.
Are they defining the area?
Thanks -
@JeanMichelC The
markersare just visual pin icons on the map — they don’t define any area. A typical use case would be marking your home and workplace so you can easily spot them while watching the rain radar. -
@KristjanESPERANTO Thanks for your quick response. Yeah, I figured it out and it’s working beautifully, thanks. It looks great!!!

Thanks for tending to the module. I noticed the zoom error on a couple of installations I had as well and saw your updated documentations. Bummer about both the zoom and forecast loops. My module seems stuck looping between 4:20pm and 6:20pm now. I have restarted magicmirror but the module reverts to 4:20pm and the same radar loop associated with 4:20pm

Disregard. It appears rainviewer.com was down for a while, but it’s back up now and updating correctly.
