    Hey everyone, I’m new here so I’m unsure if this question has already been answered but I was wondering if it is possible to build a magic mirror using a Raspberry Pi Zero W? If yes are there any disadvantages of using it instead of Raspberry Pi 3?

    Thanks in advance!

      @Daniel

      You can use a Pi zero but the installation is a bit more complicated. Use the search function of the forum and you’ll find plenty of info on that.

      With that said, installation on the Pi3 is very simple, either by the automatic installer script or a manual installation.

          Some modules may not work on Pi Zero W. but default modules are ok.

            @Daniel I just recently built my MM using a Raspberry Pi Zero W and it works great!
            I did A LOT of reading through the forums here (lots of amazingly helpful people) and installed and started up MM without issues.
            If you’re still looking for a place to start, check out this awesome guide: Tutorial
            I haven’t come across any modules that don’t work with my Zero W yet, which is great! From my experience, the only drawback/disadvantage of using Raspberry Pi Zero W instead of Raspberry Pi 3 is the speed.
            Good luck!
