Help mounting monitor.
-
Can you guys that have removed the monitor from it’s case show me how you mounted it within the frame? I’m trying to decide how to do my project build now that I’ve got everything mostly working.

@bkeyport Hi, I use an aluminum Dibond plate with a cut in the monitor size. This has the advantage that it is really dark behind the spy mirror. On the other hand, the plate in my large frame (100 x 54 cm) is also there to stiffen the frame. And finally, everything on the plate (controller, Raspberry, junction boxes, cables …) can be very nicely mounted / glued.
In this frame, the monitor then simply holds with a few tapes and two metal angles.

it’s hard for me to tell what’s holding the monitor in place in your pics, honestly - and your post is actually what spawned this one - because to me, it looks like the monitors just float there, which I know isn’t possible (yet?)

I will try to take some photos on the weekend, on which the holder is recognizable.

All 3 blogs show their approach how to keep the mirror glass and the monitor in place.

@yawns Wow - this is the level of detail I’m looking for… thanks!
