My first project

Thank you friend! I need experienced advice. This project is a bulletin board. Can I use glass and black film?
-
@Cynic i do not know… i am using large TVs, where the mirror glass is very expensive, so have not done it yet
-
Looks nice. I’m not using any glass either, just a wood frame around the monitor screen.

My opinion
If it’s a bulletin board then why use glass at all? Many people have made use of MM without a mirror. Film of any kind is difficult to deal with, at best. If you search the forum you will find an overwhelming majority of people who attempted film were disappointed with the final outcome.
Good luck, mate.

Hello to all! I keep building. Thanks for the tips on glass. I will try to do without it. But with dark film, the image is more contrasting. I will experiment.

Hi Cynic,
Nice build, keep up the good work.
For my mirror I used normal glass and Oracal MIR 500 film and the results are satisfying.
Of course you can not compare the result with a two way mirror but just keep in mind the price, also not comparable.
Good luck! -

Hello! Thanks for the advice. I plan a black film of 20% clearance. This will give a contrasty image and hide damage to the old monitor. I continue to build.

That looks nice!
