MMM-SmartWebDisplay : display web contents (including YouTube) on your MM
-
@pdawg17 ok, I don’t know the module, but I ‘think’ it displays ANOTHER web page ON the MM screen… (according to the readme)
MMM-SmartWebDisplay is a module for MagicMirror². It allow to display any web content to your MagicMirror and interact with it(the web content) through notifications or with MMM-TelegramBot.
so, I’m not sure U access it via the MM web page url…
now, remote control is also not a web page access tool…
you can SEND it requests and it will do the action…

Ok I’ve got it working but not with the website I want to use. I can get YouTube videos to work now but not this site:

So last night, I had this module running perfectly along with all my other modules. This morning, I’m getting errors on all the site images stating “This browser does not support svg”. No images display and they are a mixture of svgs and pngs.
I’d made a copy of an existing website using HTTrack and I’m hosting it locally using Apache2. I’m not familiar with how MagicMirror renders pages so I’m not really sure where to look or what to change to resolve this issue.
Edit: Not sure how, but the referring page was one level deeper and had to be referenced correctly. Fixed!

Thank you.Hello,
from the module itself : no it is not managed.
But it depend the kind of source you are playing, if it is YouTube, you just have to click on the “Mute” button on the YouTube interface ! -
@costascontis @AgP42 Same issue here. Adjusting any of the variables, either by percent or pixel, just seems to resize the window, but not the feed itself. It doesn’t zoom accordingly.

I display with MMM-SmartWebDisplay the maps of
‘http://maps.meteoradar.co.uk/’ with two different zooms. No problem with that.
I also use the MMM-domoticz which shows me the rain forecast.
My question :
Is it possible when the% rain is less than 20%, for example, not to display the maps in SmartWebDisplay OR to display something else, for example.
-
To do so, you can ask your domiticz system to send a new url request according to the humidity value.
See https://github.com/AgP42/MMM-SmartWebDisplay#change-the-url for the synthaxe of the request to be sent. But no, the module itself don’t have an input for any “logical” behavior.
