What microphone/speaker are you all using?

Looking to add voice control to my mirror as well!

@Bugsounet I’ve turner on my MagicMirror after a stop of 6 months.

At first I ran sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade, then I updated both MM and its modules.

Now MM it ends up with a black screen.

So I ran npm run update in MMM-AssistantMk2 folder and answered Yes to all the answers.

I still keep getting the black screen at the end of MM loading.

What shall I do next now? :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:

          Here’s what happening:

          pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror $ npm start

          > magicmirror@2.11.0 start /home/pi/MagicMirror
          > DISPLAY="${DISPLAY:=:0}" ./node_modules/.bin/electron js/electron.js

I am trying to work out how I can use MMM-AssistantMk2 to voice control the MMM-CalendarExt2 module.

My basic needs are to use a voice command to notify MMM-CalendarExt2 to swap to another view.

eg, I say “[wakeword] scene monthly” and the Calendar Module will swap to a scene which shows my Monthly calendar view.

Or I say “[wakeword] scene weekly” and the Calendar Module will swap to a scene which shows my Weekly calendar view.

I have considered TelegramBot but I don’t think that is triggered by a voice command ?

                Any ideas guys ?

AssistantMk2 works awesome also together with 2Display. I am in love with that :)

User request: I would like to open news as video like https://www.tagesschau.de/100sekunden/ or via youtube play list https://www.youtube.com/user/tagesschau (German public broadcasting service)

Problem: Searching Youtube + tagesschau is replied by Google assistant that the news function would not be available for this device yet.

                  Is there a workaround I could use/implement?
E.g. Specific search terms opens automatically a specified youtube link or a specific website?

Well, now as @Bugsounet closed his modules for MM and @Sean deleted the AssistantMk2 repo the MM users are left without Voice control. Great!

no one ask to you use my modules… try to code your own ;)
BUT If I close something … It’s for Made better !!!
SO wait and see (in a couple of day)
                                    OR don’t use it ;)
IN ALL CASE: AMK2 have been totaly recoded (only sound)… and jsut after… deprecied.

If you like only deprecied module or not maintened modules let make your choise in 3rd party module ! 90% of modules have not been maintened since +/- 2 years ;)

                                    @Ivanov_d : for you information :

                                    and @Sean deleted the AssistantMk2

                                    It’s my module…

@Bugsounet thanks for the information. When should we expect your fork of the project to be ready?

                                            Hi

                                            I installed MMM-AssistantMk2.
                                            But hotword doesn’t work.
                                            (mmm-hotword was not installed.)

So, after clicking the google logo with the mouse, I am using it after changing it into a mic shape.
Is it possible to always receive mic input by default?
I want mic to work like the picture attached after booting.

                                            mic2.jpg
                                            Thank you!
