      MagicMirror 2.8.0 is using Electron 3.0.13, and the latest version is 6.09 (4, 5 and 6 were all released since march of this year)…

      I don’t know Mitch’s plans for version updates… you might open an issue in the MagicMirror github repo.

        Would be interesting to see what happens if electron 6 gets installed.
        Anybody here ready to give it a try and crash his mirror? :-D

          @rudibarani

          The same happens on my MMM-ISS-Live module. However, in my case, I simply “X” out the message and the module continues to work properly. Yes, you need to be able to click.

          Odd, I just quit MM and relaunched and the message did NOT appear this time. Hmmm.

            I downloaded a fresh MagicMirror copy, and changed the electron version to “latest”, in package.json
            And then did npm install
            Default config runs fine

            Will try some other modules

            Pir, hotword, assistantmk2.

            Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS, Intel, electron v6.0.10, ok

               MMM-PIR-Sensor fails, access denied, exportGPIO, /sys/class/gpio/export
               MMM-Hotword, V2, ok.
               MMM_AssistantMk2, ok

               node 10.6.0

                  Thanks @sdetweil - changing the electron to latest works fine for me on a Mac Mini. I tested all my modules and did not find glitch so far.
                  @MichMich: Is there a special reading why you stick to version 3.0.13?

                      @sdetweil: I only updated electron without changing npm and node - so I am still using Node v11.6.0 and npm 6.9.0 on my Mac Mini (24/7 since 2009 :slightly_smiling_face:)
