@alyx voiceCommander is built on top of MMM-Voice and Hello-Lucy

so, CAN you, certainly… take a voice audio -> recognizer -> send notification to other modules…

HOW depends on the module being used…

      sometimes there is some config
      sometimes there is file editing
      sometimes there is coding

@sdetweil No worries I’ll install and play around with this tomorrow, I was wondering if it would help with setting up modules to talk to each other, as you know I’ve been having a few issues with that xD

@alyx My Module ONLY addresses configuration of EACH module (stuff that goes in config.js)

what that stuff DOES/MEANS, my module does not know…

I read the source code to figure out the variables defined
and merge that with any info from config.js

and build a form to collect the data

then on save, I take the elements with data and build a new config.js
(rename the old and write the new)
and if restart , then I restart MM to use that new config

@sdetweil your module is running well, but if i changed something and create the config, it deleted the location, the locationid and the weather api from the default weather module :( this is really bad… and if i change the timefomat and the analog size in the same module and push the save, create config button it didnt save the canges.

@dinschal did u set the position in the positions section?

can u add debug:true to my module config

                        copy back the prior config.js

                        start mm like this

                        cd ~/MagicMirror
                        npm start >somefile.txt

                        then do the change again
                        press save

                        then stop mm (ctrl-q)
                        and send me the somefile.txt
and the two config file, prior and new
and the defaults.js from the module folder
via email. my email is this same userid at gmail

u will have to rename the .js files to
like .txt as js files are not allowed
