Weatherunderground - currently - hourly - daily - configurable
-
@jagerpower try setting pws to ‘pws:IUTRECHT148’ in your config:
pws: 'pws:IUTRECHT148', -
@RedNax Thank you for this module and help, it works now
-
@jagerpower Thanks and enjoy!!
-
is there a way to remove the time? and get more days (like weather forecast from sunday to saterday?)
-
Thanks for all the help, its working now with the correct directory and icons in the directory and icon settings in the config.js file.
I didn’t realize that the bit temp was also part of this module so I don’t need to call the original weather module for that ether.
Great work!!!

Love this. Thanks. There are a couple of issues I’m working through, trying to help fix. The first is that beaufort icon isn’t showing because this isn’t defined in the CSS files. I would expect it to be in
weather-icons-wind.cssbut its not.Adding the definitions -
.wi-wind-beaufort-0:before { content: "\f0b7"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-1:before { content: "\f0b8"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-2:before { content: "\f0b9"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-3:before { content: "\f0ba"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-4:before { content: "\f0bb"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-5:before { content: "\f0bc"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-6:before { content: "\f0bd"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-7:before { content: "\f0be"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-8:before { content: "\f0bf"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-9:before { content: "\f0c0"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-10:before { content: "\f0c1"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-11:before { content: "\f0c2"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-12:before { content: "\f0c3"; }to
MMM-WunderGround.cssfixes this. -
The next issue is that the config variable
hourlyIntervalgets ignored. This can be fixed by changing line 238 tovar forecast = this.hourlyforecast[f * this.config.hourlyinterval]; -
@CommanderB Thanks for cleaning up my messes! :)
The icons you seek are in the included weather-icons.css. I do agree you’d expect them in weather-icons-wind.css
However it’s entirely possible that MM uses the one weather-icons included in the vendor dir first. They’re not in that one..wi-wind-beaufort-0:before { content: "\f0b7"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-1:before { content: "\f0b8"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-2:before { content: "\f0b9"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-3:before { content: "\f0ba"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-4:before { content: "\f0bb"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-5:before { content: "\f0bc"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-6:before { content: "\f0bd"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-7:before { content: "\f0be"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-8:before { content: "\f0bf"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-9:before { content: "\f0c0"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-10:before { content: "\f0c1"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-11:before { content: "\f0c2"; } .wi-wind-beaufort-12:before { content: "\f0c3"; -
if you put a copy of weather-icons-wind.css into the vendor/weather-icons folder that should fix it.
-
@jagerpower You can set hourly to 0 in the config. This will remove the hourly forecasts… You can also adjust fcdaycount to the number of days you want to be shown.
-
@RedNax is it possible to remove the English translation in the alert?
-
Could be done by manipulating the string, however this might break things when other languages are selected. Could even be dependent on your pws… I’ll have a go at making it configurable…
-
It’s a bit of a hack, but after getting the new version from github you can define
alerttruncatestring: "english:"in your config. The alerttext will hen be truncated at the defined word/string
-
@pugsly you should not let users add stuff to the vendor folder! Plugin should be self containing :)
-
So I came home today and noticed that the weather had not refreshed in two days. When I did a pm2 mm restart it did refresh but now im wondering maybe its not refreshing on its own? is there a config setting for how often it does a refresh?
-
@pugsly That’s strange! There is a setting, but it has a default 10 minute setting.
Did you look at the log for clues?updateInterval: 10 * 60 * 1000, // every 10 minutes -
How can I find the locid? I try a few options but everytime I get an error in my console:
http://***:8080/modules/MMM-Wunderground//MMM-Wunderground.js
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)Also with: pws: ‘pws:IUTRECHT148’, OR pws: ‘NY/New_York’ OR pws: ‘locid:NLXX8014;loctype:1’
-
Could you post the relevant config.js section? Could you also check on your pi if /modules/MMM-Wunderground/MMM-Wunderground.js actually exists?
-
File exists! Config output (actually uncomment):
//{ // module: 'MMM-Wunderground', // position: 'top_right', // This can be any of the regions. // // Best results in left or right regions. // config: { // // See 'Configuration options' for more information. // apikey: 'c4fbdf2a7b44d2bd', // private; don't share! // pws: 'NY/New_York', // //lang: 'DE', // fctext: '1', // fcdaycount: "5", // fcdaystart: "0", // hourly: '1', // hourlyinterval: "3", // hourlycount: "2", // alerttime: 10000, // alerttruncatestring: "english:" // truncate the alertstring ath this word// // } //}, -
Any log available? At this point i have no clue why it would stall…
