How do I make my 27" monitor (smartmirror) touchscreen *using raspberry Pi*
-
@TheMexicoon The IR-frame mounts on top of the mirror frame, so it doesn’t really care what type of monitor you use, as long as the size of the frame is the same as the monitor. Most of the IR-frames for sale out there works on Linux, so in theory almost all IR-frames will work with the Raspberry Pi
@johnnyboy pointed however out that you probably only get single-touch on linux, atleast I think it was Johnny

@broberg how does the coding work because i was planning on using Android os on the Pi would that be a viable option? Im open to use linux but would prefer android
-
@TheMexicoon Should work on android as well as long as the android OS and IR-Frame support each others.
The frame should just be recognized and used as any other input (like mouse or keyboard), no coding should be necessary.

@broberg Oh sweet! Whats the price range on Ir panels that are 27" because the one i found came to $240 wondering if there’s any cheaper options
