        Well I have figured this out…it’s VERY simple.

        IF You need the sh files to generate your info please go to my fork of this module…I’ve included them.

          Thanks for this module. It works.
          If we have visualization, it would be better.

            @g_nandagpl Thank you for the feedback, glad you got this working

            As for visualization, it turned out really laggy on Raspberry Pi, so I postponed it

            I might re-visit this feature, maybe figure out a way to speed it up if there is enough interest

                @cowboysdude thanks for the scripts! I’m trying to run auth_code.sh but I get the following errors, and no code to put in auth_code2.sh:

                  @jnstnr Yes I may have an idea…

                  open up both sh files and using your keyboard replace all the double quotes … for some reason they do not copy well. I did that and it ran great! :)

                    @cowboysdude just got home and tried it, replaced all " with ’

                    And now I get another error:
                    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ bash auth_code.sh
                    auth_code.sh: line 10: syntax error near unexpected token (' auth_code.sh: line 10: perl -MURI::Escape -ne ‘chomp;print uri_escape($_),’\n’‘’

                    Pretty sure there’s a simple fix for line 10, but haven’t figured it out yet!

                      Scratch that, finally managed to get a refresh token! Added it to the config and getting a black screen now though :/

                              @jnstnr Yeah, sorry for the complexity! I tried hard to make this as easy as possible

                              But due to the nature of this project, there are a lot of variables. Everyones machine and setup is different etc

                                    @smyvy I went to this url:
                                    https://sakirtemel.github.io/MMM-alexa/

                                    Put in the Client Id, Device ID & set serial number as 1234. I also added the above url as an allowed return url in the Amazon developer console before I clicked the “Request code” button.

                                        @smyvy the config that’s included in the mmm-awesome-alexa repo wasn’t working for me, so I adjusted it to make it look like other modules in my config. here’s my setup, I was actually missing a comma after the closing }, which fixed the black screen:

                                        {
                                        module: ‘MMM-awesome-alexa’,
                                        position: “bottom_bar”,
                                        config: {
                                        wakeWord: “Alexa”,
                                        clientId: “amzn1…”,
                                        clientSecret: “…”,
                                        deviceId: “magicmirror”,
                                        refreshToken: “…”,
                                        lite: false
                                        }
                                        },
