We would have to know the error message to attempt to help you. So, run the mirror and make note of the error message, in its entirety. Then post it here in a code block using the </> option above your message window

@Duke86 Hi Duke, start with cd MagicMirror/ … you’re probably trying to start MM out of the wrong folder.

Problem with config or JavaScript? Copy/paste it into JSHint.
Check out the detailed walkthroughs on install, config, modules, etc.

The error message is telling you what you have to do. So, in your GUI, you can navigate to your MagicMirror/node_modules/ folder and delete the electron folder. Then open a terminal and cd MagicMirror and npm install

You are already in the directory “MagicMirror”. cd (change directory to) can’t find the directory because you are already inside.

                      pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror $ nmp install
                      bash: nmp: command not found

Just a typo, it’s “npm”, not “nmp”.

Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh, but to be honest, that’s an easy one that you can answer yourself with all the information you have in this thread already. You’re making the same mistake as yesterday.

Hint: Check where you are. Use “ls” (list content of current directory) and “cd”. Learn to read the path to know where you are.

u used “nmp install” instead of “npm install”

                            do exactly this:

                            cd
                            cd MagicMirror
                            npm install

wait for Installation complete. This will take a while. Just wait UNTIL u see the “pi@raspberrypi:” again and u are able to type new commands. Even if u can’t see an installation progress bar.
then type npm start or if u use ssh: DISPLAY=:0 npm start

I guess you have to create a config file. ;) Did you read the Readme @ https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror (scroll down a little)?

The MagicMirror, as the readme points out, comes with a config example. Create a config file by copying the example file with this command:
cp config/config.js.sample config/config.js Use this command from the MagicMirror folder!
(The way this works is: copy | original/file.js | target/file.js)

Did you copy the config.js.example to config.js with the code above? Have you made any changes inside config.js yet?
Can you cd into the config folder and tell us what ls (list) is showing?

In the sample config there is no line 96 !!!

don’t know what u did, but maybe u should read a little more accurate as doubleT said before. I don’t want to attack you.

Just delete your config file, copy this here and rename it to “config.js” and put it in your config folder. This should work
