@Duke86 Hi Duke, start with cd MagicMirror/ … you’re probably trying to start MM out of the wrong folder.

Problem with config or JavaScript? Copy/paste it into JSHint.
Check out the detailed walkthroughs on install, config, modules, etc.

The error message is telling you what you have to do. So, in your GUI, you can navigate to your MagicMirror/node_modules/ folder and delete the electron folder. Then open a terminal and cd MagicMirror and npm install

            Create a working config
            How to add modules

bash: cd: MagicMirror: No such file or directory
              pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror $ nmp install
              bash: nmp: command not found
              pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror $ ^C
              pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror $

You are already in the directory “MagicMirror”. cd (change directory to) can’t find the directory because you are already inside.

                pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror $ nmp install
                bash: nmp: command not found

Just a typo, it’s “npm”, not “nmp”.

Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh, but to be honest, that’s an easy one that you can answer yourself with all the information you have in this thread already. You’re making the same mistake as yesterday.

Hint: Check where you are. Use “ls” (list content of current directory) and “cd”. Learn to read the path to know where you are.

                      pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror $

u used “nmp install” instead of “npm install”

                      do exactly this:

                      cd
                      cd MagicMirror
                      npm install

wait for Installation complete. This will take a while. Just wait UNTIL u see the “pi@raspberrypi:” again and u are able to type new commands. Even if u can’t see an installation progress bar.
then type npm start or if u use ssh: DISPLAY=:0 npm start
