After a long development process here is an offline voice recognition module

      Features:

      • Turn HDMI on/off

      • Hide/Show all modules

With this module, you’re also able to control other modules like:

Complete list of supported modules can be found here

You want your module to be supported as well? Take a look on the developers guide

There is a hidden easteregg, who can find it?

Thanks to all who helped me with this

I would do this. Uninstall it, git clone it again and try running it again.

Try to run it like this:

                sudo ./dependencies.sh

I am having trouble getting this module to recognize my USB Microphone.

                  I am using this mic:
                  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IR8R7WQ/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza

I previously used it when I built an Amazon Echo and I didn’t have any problem.

When I run the installer it returns this:
INFO] Possible Audio Devices to set in config.js

                  0 [ALSA ]: bcm2835 - bcm2835 ALSA
                  bcm2835 ALSA

Do you know if there is any special configuration I need to do to get it find the mic?

Interesting I’m using the same mic with no issues…

What are you running it on? RPI 3? I would do this:

                    Terminal window:

                    sudo apt-get update
                    sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

That will install Pixel - the newest updated version… Then try to find your mic doing this in a terminal window:

                    arecord -l

See what that says… let me know!

                      I tried the command a record -I

                      it returned this:
                      pi@magicmirror:~ $ arecord -l
**** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices ****
                      pi@magicmirror:~ $

Its just not seeing it. I’m guessing that the mic broke.

@strawberry-3.141 I’ve conducted the command “sudo bash dependencies.sh”

I’ve tried the command ‘sudo chmod 777 /opt /home/pi/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-voice’ and than ‘bash dependencies.sh’ and it works!
