For audio response, sometimes audio data comes too lately. Unfortunately there is no good way to measure whether audio is just late or broken or missed. Maybe I can add timeover and waiting response features on next version.(I’m building whole new v3. In a few weeks I can release it.)
@danielnewy If you really want to have alexa voice control and would cost less and wouldn’t take up much time, I suggest you just buy the Qaio Smart Mirror. Easier, Faster, more Convenient. just a piece of my cake. 🙂
There are several voice modules here. It’s impossible to say which is best, as all do different things, and installations come with varying degrees of difficulty. You can search the forum for user experiences and try each on your own to see what best suits your needs.
@Techblogogy Hi, i am very much interested in this project , i installed the software successfully, when i entered mirror in the terminal, i get below error and also could not find config.cfg in the path mentioned in your github /.local/share/mirror_server/config.cfg
Hey guys I’m pretty new to this whole magic mirror thing. I don’t want my mirror on all the time so I wanted to turn the display on and off with my voice. This is the only post I could find trying to accomplish that. So once i get the Voice Control module from alexyak working, how do I get this to work? I’m confused as to where to put the files.
@Zach Hey Zach, I’m excited to get your project up and running, but could you update it with the latest install process for Raspbian as the options available on the page you link to have changed dramatically: https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/ Jessie appears no longer available.
