Is there actually a walkthrough on how to install this now that it asks for app URL and callback URL and what is supposed to be entered there?

RE: MMM-AlexaPi
Ironically, I decided to reinstall it last night before bed. I had edited yaml.config last time for the device type but this time i actually selected magic mirror. It started to work again. LOL. sound was a little choppy so i changed playback from vlc to sox. Mind you I haven’t gone out to check it yet this morning…hahah

RE: MMM-AlexaPi
i’m probably gonna wait until my Kinobo USB mic arrives…i know that sound work as opposed to this PS Eye
-
RE: MMM-AlexaPi
Nope. no other modules…it seems the AlexaPi service is not starting…getting an error…seriously may just use my Dot…if i did’t like that damn microphone icon so much

RE: MMM-AlexaPi
@johnnyboy lol…the microphone icon is back now with a slash through it and I’m not even being greeted with a hello when the Pi boots now…off to the gitter maybe!

RE: MMM-AlexaPi
I’m sure it’s probably the PS Eye mic and the usb mic you have coming (that I ordered too) will work fine. For example, when I go into aslamixer and try to hit f6 to change to the Eye to increase the volume, it crashes with an invalid argument error…

RE: MMM-AlexaPi
Yup the arecord does produce a wav file for me that i can playback. But Alexa doesn’t respond anymore…she did a few times…maybe i ticked her off now…lol

RE: MMM-AlexaPi
@lucallmon I was having the same issue. changed to sox and it worked once for me. now I also hear the hello and one time i was able to ask her a question…but now it almost seems like the mic stopped working…grrr

RE: First Build - 30" w/ custom frame and AlexaPi integration
Gonna attempt this Alexa install one more time…have a USB sound card and would love to have it integrated with the icon on screen like that…but at the end of the day - $50 to just buy a dot and stick it behind there might be worth my time…lol

what Alexa module is that? fantastic by the way!

RE: Throwing down the gauntlet
@Mykle1 Tried adding the CSS and didn’t really seem like anything changed. Checked my monitor settings in Display settings and it said it detected my monitor at 1015x1856
Maybe I’m not getting a full 1200x1920 resolution?Never mind…running tvservice -s shows 1920x1080 resolution…must be something little i am missing again!

RE: Throwing down the gauntlet
@Mykle1 ok so turns out all this time I was using an older WunderGround module. Once I did a git pull and updated - bam - there were the realistic icons!
Now I have to play with widths! how did you manage to fit your calendar, date/weather, and weather forecast all along the top! LOL

RE: Magic Mirror minus the mirror
Actually I have solved the issue! Anyone else having this problem - I solved it with two words - git pull.
Yup…I i was using an older version of the MMM-WunderGround module…doh!

RE: Working on the ole 32"...
You know I am going to have to build this too right? :)

RE: How do you turn Off/On the monitor if not in use - Be Green
I have a Vera controller for Zwave devices and they just released a new firmware that adds Alex support pretty easy!

RE: Magic Mirror minus the mirror
@strawberry-3.141 definitely have that set in my config file. cleared out everything in my custom.css so nothing would interfere…maybe my location doesn’t get pretty realistic icons…sigh

RE: How do you turn Off/On the monitor if not in use - Be Green
Mirror is plugged into a Z-wave outlet. I just tell my echo - Hey Alexa - turn on/off my mirror

RE: Magic Mirror minus the mirror
