Digging out this old topic. I successfully could sync my private calendar with vdirsyncer to my Mirror. What I would like to add are the birthdays of my contacts. The issue with this one is, that they are not an acutal calendar.

I tried with another device specific password to bypass the two-factor authentification which I was assuming is the issue here but no success.

I would even be fine in manually downloading an .ics with the Birthdays but have no idea how to extract them from the contacts. Does anyone have been successful?

@krisalexroberts I was also struggeling with finding a nice weather module. Depending on your needs, WeatherOrNot will do. It offers daily forecast and has nice looks + the formatting is responsive.

thanks for creating this. I am currently building my first mirror and have issues with the weather module from the master (only showing “Loading”) and hence wanted to try yours, as I am looking for hourly data anyways.

I am curious to know if there is a benefit by using the MM-Module for the PIR vs. the executable script which can be autostarted with pm2 (as per this tutorial). Can anyone help?

@dawookie1979 mh, just tried again and it works for me (takes some time to load though, maybe limit it to one league for now). Nonetheless, I removed it again and moved on with MMM-soccer as this module has the same features and more and is still being maintained by the original creator.

Nonetheless, if you want tot get MMM-SoccerLiveScore running, can you post your config? I just copied the sample and it works fine.

OpenWeatherMaps now introduced a new OneCall-API which is similar to the old DarkSky. There is even a table for migrating from DarkSky to OpenWeather. Maybe someone who has coding skills could see rebuild this lovely module? In the end Dark Sky API will be discontinued completely so everyone will need to look out for something else :)

first off, great module @michael5r, thanks a lot. Unfortunately I have issues getting it to work as soon as I use the displayFilter attribute. Using the default works perfectly fine and shows all my lights. As soon as I only have one specific light in the displayFilter-array, I can only see “Loading…” on my mirror. Config looks fine (below) and logs are identical with default and specified.

Side Note: The light I am calling is “Kugel” which is not an original Hue but Ikea Tradfri. Additionally I have other lights called “Kugel 30er” “Kugel 40er” and “Kugel 60er”. Could this be the source of failure?

@majik655 sorry, I didn’t read the original post properly, actually you are right.

@tripalreno4 actually I think @majik655 is right:

• edit the wpa_supplicant.conf and add the gift receivers WiFi information
• configure the MM to automatically start upon boot with pm2

This would basically make it a “plug and play” apart from configuring modules ofc.
