      @sdetweil
      I want to upgrade my Magic Mirror from a Pi 3 to the new Pi 5 because my old one takes almost an hour to boot — it’s basically dead already.

      A lot of the modules I use don’t really get updates anymore.
      Do you think I could run into serious problems if I reinstall all of them on the new Pi 5?

      When I set everything up last time, I had issues with almost every module because of Node.js versions and similar things.

      I’m not a coder, so I’m not really able to tweak the modules myself to fix compatibility issues.

      I put a lot of effort into building the Magic Mirror (even a frameless Magic Mirror). Without self-praise I have seen many other Magic Mirrors but mine is by far the most beautiful one and finally a voice control is part of it. It is also completely designed for a Raspberry Pi, so I don’t want to change anything now.

      That’s a cool idea, but I don’t like to change anything on the hardware. I keep that in mind for my next project.

      Maybe I just think that response time is slow, although it is fast for a cheap computer like the raspberry.

      Thank you for all your help and your fast replays. Now it finally works with long charging times, but it works. Whenever I stop the Magic Mirror with pm2, the card for the microphone changes, but I can live with that because soon it will hang on the wall and then I won’t stop pm2.

      Yes, of course. I tried it again. I shouted into the microphone, although “ERROR” was displayed and Lucy reacted. But when I tried to hide the news, it took a very long time. When I tried to continue, Lucy reacted once out of 10 and in between she always showed ERROR. Can I do something that she understand me better and that the delay is not so long.

      @Mykle1

      I’am confused too. It’s still card 1, when I enter “arecord -l”. When the Magic Mirror runs in the background and I enter “arecord test.wav” the Error “arecord: main:828: audio open error: Device or resource busy” appears. But, when I stop the Magic Mirror with pm2, record works. After reboot the Magic Mirror is yet on the top a micro icon and "Ready, “Hello Lucy”. But when I try to ask she, nothing happens. To you have a answer for this?

      No it doesn’t work , there is yet the error “arecord: main:828:…”. I just noticed that my USB micro is now suddenly displayed as card 1. I change yet my /.asoundrc file again. Do I have to download the module again?

      Thank you for you fast replays.

      Yes I tried it to run, but lucy say only “Hello Michael, what would you like to see” and on the top of the Mirror is a crossed-out green flashing microphone and “Command Please:”.

      I have a USB Mic and I hope that’s not the problem, because I read a bit in this forum, that sometimes USB Micros have trouble with Hello-Lucy. I also changed my /.asoundrc file so that the speaker and microphone worked as they should. In the tests everything still worked. Here is my /.asoundrc file:

      pcm.!default {
        type asym
         playback.pcm {
           type plug
           slave.pcm "hw:0,1"
         }
         capture.pcm {
           type plug
           slave.pcm "hw:2,0"
         }
      }

      Maybe It’s a npm problem, because at the end of the installation of the module these npm warnings came:
      Note: First I make the sound configuration and only after that I install the module.

      npm WARN deprecated request@2.88.2: request has been deprecated, see https://github.com/request/request/issues/3142
      npm WARN deprecated browserslist@1.7.7: Browserslist 2 could fail on reading Browserslist >3.0 config used in other tools.
      npm WARN deprecated circular-json@0.3.3: CircularJSON is in maintenance only, flatted is its successor.
      npm notice created a lockfile as package-lock.json. You should commit this file.

      Hi,

      I have a css problem with the [MMM-darksky-hourly](https://github.com/jacquesCedric/MMM-darksky-hourly. I never had anything to do with html and css before, that’s why it was so difficult for me. In my config.js file I turned off a lot from the darksky -hourly module, how you can see here in the [Screenshot], because I still need the weather per hour for one day. I tried much in the custom.css file, that the module has the same wide as the other modules, that the distances in the lines become smaller and that it no longer has this unnecessary edge on the left side. But nothing worked. I am glad about any help.
