    • RE: 27" Mirror with selfmade frame

Thank you very much. I saw they are also in Germany. I will call them up tomorrow and ask for prices for the mirror and for shipping. If it’s really that cheap I will order one with 12% and with 20% transmission and see which one fits best.

Very nice build! What are the transmission values for your mirror? Have the Mirropane Chrome Spy with 8% and I am not too happy about it. The modules aren’t easy to read when it’s bright. Even in the night when I just turn on the light.

    • RE: Slim display due to thin space

You could buy a universal LCD controller board like the V56. Buy the longest LVDS cable you can find. The board itself, w/o LED driver cost around 7.50€-8.00€ incl. shipping. The cheapest LVDS cable I found was 0.88€ incl. shipping. Usually they are around 20cm but you could also make a longer one yourself. A universal LED driver should be less than a euro, too.
You could then lead the cables to the inside of the cabinet (via the hinges probably). and hide the electronic boards in a hidden double floor board (if you know what I mean). Like a box inside, or on top of the mirror. Just make sure you allow air flow for cooling.

      module: “currentweather”,

heißt das Modul currentweather? oder MMM-Wounderground?
unter Modul muss der Name des Moduls stehen der gleich mit dem Name des Ordners ist

Das default Modul heisst currentweather. Soweit ist alles richtig.

    • RE: Weather module not getting shown

@MichaelS The config.js.sample is only a sample file. You have to rename it by removing the sample part in the end. But you most likely did already, otherwise the mirror would ask you to create a config file.

      Are the other modules showing?

I don’t really see anything wrong with your config. All other default modules are displayed? Did you rename the config.js.sample to config.js?

(Ich mach das hier mal auf englisch, damit du deine Chancen erhöhst, dein Problem zu lösen.)

It’s probably best to share your config with us. Just remember to remove anything you don’t want to share (e.g. API keys, maybe location etc.).

    • RE: MMM-PIR-Sensor problems

That’s a picture I took before mounting it to the wall. Taking a new picture will be a bit difficult now. Hope it helps.
Btw, I don’t use the MMM-PIR-sensor module. Initially I did though and I didn’t change the jumper. The sensor is set to “high”, in case it’s not clear from the picture.

    • RE: Slim display due to thin space

Well, the Raspberry Pi alone is already a fatty with its LAN and USB ports. How will you deal with that? What about the power supply and the heat release? The space you have is tiny. If you every manage to make it fit neatly you should definitely post pictures :-)

    • RE: MMM-PIR-Sensor problems

Have you tried to set the timer potentiometer (Haltezeit in your picture) on the PIR-sensor to minimum? I have the very same PIR-sensors and they are working very well without any additional resistors.
