@RYANO said in I cannot get the calendar and events to show New Zealand:
Please can someone help me I am trying to get my magic mirror to show a New Zealand calendar and events please help.
The links above are not valid but I can provide you with a workaround for your problem.
Go here.
Click the green Download button to download the New_Zealand_Holidays.ics file.
Create an ics folder within your modules folder.
Move the New_Zealand_Holidays.ics file that you downloaded into the ics folder that you just created.
Open your config.js file. Change your calendar url to this:
url: "webcal://localhost:8080/modules/ics/New_Zealand_Holidays.ics"
Save your config.js file.
Run your mirror.
That works!

PS. This will ONLY work if you are in the USA…
Phew!
Personally, I would use the install script that was created by, and maintained by, @sdetweil. I do a good amount of installations for one reason or another and it’s my go-to installation tool.

If your screenshots get any cooler looking I’m going to be sick. :-)

Do you want to know how much I like this? Ok, I’ll tell you.
I wish it was my idea!!
Bravo!
@brandonbrown said in How do I exit full screen after boot up?:
This is on an old thread, but thank you @Mykle1 .
Hey Brandon, you are very welcome. Also, have a look at this page (it’s short but informative) about the key commands you can use while your mirror is running. Have fun!

@sdetweil said in install script fail error:
use my install script,
This install script is a godsend. Installing any other way is just, uh, … silly?
Gee, I’ve missed this place.
No, really.

u two keep bringin back to the top!
That’s right. :-)
5 years since I completed my first mirror? Who would have thought? I’ve been away for quite some time. Got plenty of messages in the meantime, stating that my modules weren’t working. Thought I would address some of them after a brand new install of the newest MM running on ubuntu 20.04.03.
These are running. Although some with hard coded options may not display all of them (e.g. MMM-EyeCandy). Finding the default animations was very time consuming and a changed url is all it takes to break the module. I welcome anyone that wants to find new ones for the module.
