@cruunnerr @Maros
Thanks to you guys I finally got it working although for me I needed to use crontab -e because if I edit the ect/ file it doenst work. Also I had to make the two changes @Maros had to make. I changed the pkill to kill and removed the /usr directory. I wish I understood more of what I was doing but it works now. Next question
I would also like to remove a specific module that I have called mmm facial recognition during certain hours. Would this be possible?

RE: MMM-AssistantMk2
@Sean
Thanks for the update. I have two small issues after update.
For some weird reason most of my modules go blank after some time and only turn back on after I trigger assistant with voice.
Also the feedback window only shows up at the bottom if the speaker icon is top right of screen but if I try moving icon the feedback window ends up being in very small areas of screen.
I can post video if I’m not explaining well. -

@sean Next Question
Why doesnt google allow me to use the MM to play music. I can get it to play out of my google home mini in my kitchen using the MM but there doesnt seem a way to use the MM speaker to play. not even spotify.
Although youtube does work as you seem to have added that functionality. -
RE: MMM-AssistantMk2
@sean I see. I manually created a sound file and replaced it and it works fine, although a bit choppy.

RE: Cheapest Magic Mirror
@madscientist I did see some posts about using the pi0 for magic mirror. What problems did you have?
-
RE: Cheapest Magic Mirror
@madscientist Thanks for responding. Your idea would be great if I was going to make a cheap for myself but it wont work in my situation. I cant be busy with each students lcd and mirror configuration. Instead ill likely go with a small screen that works as is. These are young students.

RE: MMM-AssistantMk2
@sean Thank You
Ding is working just fine. Thank You. A little annoying sound and I was thinking of replacing it with another sound file. What if I wanted google to say something instead of ding, can I give it text to say easily? -
RE: MMM-AssistantMk2
@sean I’ll give it a try. How do I install something that isnt in the master branch?

RE: [MMM-NowPlayingOnSpotify] – Display the currently on Spotify playing song

Cheapest Magic Mirror
Does anyone have suggestions on building the cheapest Magic Mirror. I’d like to teach a class how to build one where each one works on their own version but I need them to be as cheap as possible so everyone can afford one. I’m guessing something small will help with the price.

RE: MMM-AssistantMk2
For those interested, I upgraded from a tiny usb mic to a playstation eye and had much improvement on voice recognition.
