      @McSorley Did you glue the frame to the box? If so, how far did you offset it from the wood to create the lip?

        The box is made to fit the monitor exactly. The frame opening is exactly the same as the bezel is before you remove it from the monitor. When you place the box on the frame it will create the lip for you because the frame opening is smaller than the box opening. Just center the box so the lip created by the frame is equal all the way around.

        Yes, I glued the box and frame together. I also shot a few nails with a nail gun for extra support

            I ran some 2x4s through the table saw to make a lip. Kind of dangerous as I had to remove all the safety shielding and move the blade all the way up. Chipped away ~1/16th at a time until the lip was > 1/4 inch.

            Mitered the corners and had a very solid and simple 4 piece frame that can be finished directly or further decorated.

              @SpecialRob Pictures certainly are better than words. After all, they take up more disk space.
