    Hi guys, I’m trying to test with MagicMirror and I bought Raspberry pi 3, but I have question 8)
    What is the best version of linux is better for install the MagicMirror ?
    RASPBIAN STRETCH WITH DESKTOP or RASPBIAN STRETCH LITE ?

        @Nystro0m I undertand that for to install the MagicMirror is better the desktop version no? Thanks for your fast answer 8)

          @juvesito If you are comfortable to go without destkop i would go that way.
          Otherwise, both works.

            @juvesito USE JESSIE! I found the best way to do this is to go here and I selected the one from 03/03/2017 and downloaded the zip file then unzipped it and used Win32 or Etcher to write the image to the micro SD. You’ll still have to run the
            sudo apt-get update
            sudo apt-get upgrade
            commands but I’m still finding my way in the pi world, so I’m sure there’s an easier way. Anyways, no issues this way so far on Pi3 :)

              If your heart is set on the Pi then the Pi3 is your best option, with Jessie. More importantly, IMHO, if you MUST use Stretch, DO NOT run rpi-update. You’ve been warned.

                  You didn’t read the post right above yours? LOL

                  If your heart is set on the Pi then the Pi3 is your best option, with Jessie. More importantly, IMHO, if you MUST use Stretch, DO NOT run rpi-update. You’ve been warned.

                  SO yeah not a good idea… use Jessie
