Isn’t €319 for 1 m² expensive when it’s not glass?

It is glass. Why do you assume that it is not?

@Goldjunge_Chriz Sorry, my bad! I just partly recalled an earlier discussion above about this mirror doesn’t have the foil inside like most one way mirrors of glas do. I wrongly assumed it was acrylic which is very normal for less scratch resistant mirrors with the “foil” on the outside.

No problem ;) it is real glass. As I said in a post above it is a really special combination between spy mirror and sun protection glass, that makes this glass so fantastic.

@Goldjunge_Chriz I owe you a second apology, because I calculated your price for my size of my existing mirror wrongly the first time (price pr m² divided by actual m², when I should have multiplied). Rookie mistake!

I paid 1300 for my mirror. You’re price would have been kr 1320. Soooo close! ☺

Please tell me what you think about that. Do you want to order the next days or do you want to wait?

Still interested, but not in a hurry

I’m a bit confused what to do next.
The mirror price is actually 100% more expensive than my already bought mirror with the same dimensions.

                  I’m waiting too like yawns!

Hi there, my mirror is in the bathroom and I use plexiglas with a foil from amazon right now. Unfortunately the WAF is not very great because the mirror is too dark. How is the reflexion compared to the mirror foil?

                    best regards

                    Christopher

You mean the glass from your first Post here right? The glass from me isn’t 100 % more expensive than this one ? It is only about 35 % more. Or did I misunderstand something?

As I said the problem is, that 8mm glass is realy heavy. Almost three times heavier than my glass. The next thing is that thicker glass is a way darker and the transmission is not so good. That´s normal, because the thicker the glass, the lesser is the transmisson. That is also a normal behavior of normal Float glass. But it is your decision whether the price difference is worth for you :)

Please see my pictures in the first Post. I think pictures can say more than words. The quality is not nearly comparable with a simple foil.

I also use at first a Foil. The result was very poor.
I dont’ want to recommend this kind of mirror.

I also would like to order a mirror glas. As i’m living also in schweinfurt, i would pick it up by my own. When I have my needed size i will make a additional comment.

                                  I’m in too. I have to measure once again, but it’ll be a bit more than 0.2m² (~0.4m * 0.5m). So I’ll pay 0.4m².

                                    Sorry for my late response.
I was out of country for business and couldn’t really use the board with my cell phone.
                                    I’m in, too.

BUT I need it before x-mas, otherwise I have to use a different mirror and have to think about my order…

                                    Thanks for the effort!

Maybe you can join up with @Jeff or @lolobyte. Both live in your area and pick up the glass. Or you all find a common solution together. :)

Before xmas It will probably not work, I’m sorry. As I said in my first post the production and delivery time from the glass producer to me is about three weeks. Unfortunately we have no more three weeks until christmas.

                                          @Goldjunge_Chriz thanks for your efforts!

As I see it we gathered around 7 qm in about 2 weeks. Maybe at the end of the year we will have enough to get the next cheaper price level as most of us can wait(?).

My problem actually is that building a mirror with a 24" doesn’t give me enough ‘required’ area for 0,4qm…

What size of a monitor would you recommend?

@lolobyte You are sympathetic, I Love Audi. I think it is the best car manufacturer in the world. I also drive an Audi, but without any trunk (the Motor need some Space there) and with only 2 seats 😃

Thanks for your effort. It would be very nice if you can pick up some mirrors for other guys here.

It depends on the others. Everyone must agree. It does not matter to me, and I am heading for you.
The size of the monitor depends on the personal preferences. There are people who also use a 60 inch TV 😃
