@geo are you running MagicMirrorOS? and not the raw MagicMirror app on raspian?
you did NOT use sudo when u ran the install, correct?

you open a terminal window, ctrl-alt-t, and the install.log should be right there
u have to edit it,
nano install.log
or type it
cat install.log -

debian stretch v 9.11.tried to install buster several times and failed.messages unmet depedencies,and try,apt – fixbroken install

@geo I understand the words, but don’t understand why you have this problem. I tested 2.12 on buster a couple weeks ago, again.
