Am I doing something wrong?

useHeader: true, (no quotes, no capital T)

rotateInterval: "6000", is only 6 seconds. You might want to raise this

Otherwise, it works for me with my API key and corrections:

You can post any errors from your teminal or console (from Dev Tools) so we can see what is going on there. You can see that it works for me using your config that I corrected. Are you absolutely sure that your API key is correct and entered correctly within the config entry?

@Mykle1 100% sure the API key is correct… I’m not sure about how to access the dev tools, pardon my naivety.

I could give you access to the device if you’d have a couple of minutes to look?

Scrap my messages… it started working after a reboot…

However, is it possible to have multiple categories?

does this:

eventType: "music_country",
eventType: "sports",
eventType: "food",
eventType: "comedy",

or this:

eventType: ["music_country", "sports", "food", "comedy"]

work?

As it is, no. It was designed to loop through the events so as to minimize the space it occupies on the mirror. I don’t have any plans to modify it from it’s current state but feel free to modify it yourself. If you make that an option then you can send a PR to the repo and I’ll add it to the module.

You can choose multiple eventTypes at the same time using this format:

"music_electronic,music_jazz,music_vocal,music_rap_hiphop"

I do believe that is posted somewhere above. :-)

I would love the ability to add a layout, like 2 events sidexside. Is this possible?

I’d like to also create another profile that just shows a list of events for the next 30 days or so. Can this be done?

I’m sure those things can be achieved although I don’t envision the module that way. Please feel free to fork the module and make any changes you like and submit a PR. Have fun.

Since the Eventful API has been terminated has anyone considered making something similar for PredictHQ or something else?
