      Hello. Thanks for this guide. I cant seem to run this. I am a complete newbie :).
      I installed NodeJS and Git for Windows. I follows instructions and repeatedly (about 20x times). I also deleted the npm cache and npm under the AppData as well as other dependencies under “my username” folder. I even tried using a different computer and reformat a new computer and I get the same error every single time.

      I am using Windows 7, latest patch (whatever that might be as of Juine 24, 2018). For some reason, it looks like it is looking for the a certain file and looking for it in the wrong directory. You may refer to attached screenshot.

      Sorry if this is too noobie question, any assistance will be appreciated 0_1529891854051_starterror.png

        @arciemaps new version of MagicMirror just came out a few days ago.

        I would scrap everthing and start over with the instructions for the walkthrough.

        Only changes I would make is to be sure to get the latest version of everything, ie: nodejs, git for windows, and the MagicMirror.

        I think when I started to do this, I had a few problems at first, but once I got it to work, then it got a lot easier…

        Are you using Win & 32-bit or 64-bit???

                Followed your guide to install on my windows 10 - 64 bit machine.
                Installation went OK, but when I start mirror I just get a black screen.

                This is the error message

                Launching application.
                Whoops! There was an uncaught exception...
                { Error: listen EADDRINUSE 127.0.0.1:8080

                  code: 'EADDRINUSE',
                  errno: 'EADDRINUSE',
                  syscall: 'listen',
                  address: '127.0.0.1',
                  port: 8080 }
                MagicMirror will not quit, but it might be a good idea to check why this happened. Maybe no internet connection?

                Hope you can help me out.

                  This typically means that another application or program is using the port (8080) that MagicMirror uses. You would have to resolve that issue

                    Thanks for the info, can’t find out who is using port 8080, but I changed in the config to use another port.
                    Now all is working. :thumbs_up_light_skin_tone:

                        @mykle1 FYI
                        Meanwhile I found the problem of port 8080, due to some malware on that PC, the proxi settings where modified, only option was to re-install OS. Lucky I had some backup so that didn’t took so long.
                        Now proxi settings are no longer hi-jacked and I can run MM normally.
                        Problem solved!

                              @djniuss from the MM folder do

                              npm run config:check

                                  Other question.

                                  is there a way to acces to mirror server from another device ( like the rpi does)

                                  i have withelisted all ip. and cant seem to connect. i have created rules in the windows firewall and router and still nothing.

                                  instead og localhost if i enter 0.0.0.0 i only have a black screen.

                                  is this possible . im building a smaller mirror and would like to connnect to the mirror that i already have running.

                                  Thanks
