MMM-MyScoreboard

Hey folks. I know I haven’t paid much attention to this module over the last little bit, but with the move to the UK my kids are all into Soccer now (or Football, as everyone continues to correct me!). They’ve demanded I add Arsenal and FC Barcelona to my mirror.
So I’ve released a new update and it’s a big one. This builds on the work that was done on the
add_more_soccerbranch. But instead of supporting a handlful of soccer leagues, my module now supports ALL of the soccer leagues that ESPN’s API feed provides.
To anyone currently using the
add_more_soccerbranch note that your configs won’t work as-is any more. Given that I’ve added support for more than 100 leagues and competitions, I’ve needed to come up with a more meaningful naming scheme. Please see the README for the new list of leagues supported.Also, if a
git pulldoes not get you the latest source code, then you might need to remove the module altogether and reinstall it from scratch. A while back I messed up a couple of commits and it might have left some installs in an unlinked state. Reinstalling from source gets you past that moment in time, and everything should work as normal after that.Enjoy!

I got this up and running but with NCAA Mens basketball I am struggling to limit the games shown. I have tried changing the group to “Big 12” or “Top 25” but still get everygame, so the module covers the whole left side of my mirror. What am I missing? This is a fresh installation. I just set up my mirror a few days ago.
//{ module: "MMM-MyScoreboard", position: "bottom_left", classes: "default everyone", header: "My Scoreboard", config: { showLeagueSeparators: true, colored: true, viewStyle: "mediumLogos", sports: [ { league: "NHL", groups: ["Atlantic"] }, { league: "NBA", }, { league: "MLB", }, { league: "NFL", }, { league: "NCAAM", Groups: ["Big 12"] }, ] } -
Also is there a way to limit the numbers of games being shown and maybe rotate through them? Thanks for the help.

@motdog change your config to specify
groupswith a smallg, not a capitalG. That should fix it. -
@j-e-f-f Awesome. It did!
-
@j-e-f-f Love the module! Any chance we can add the team’s seed for NCAA March Madness?

I’m not sure the feed gives me that info, but you can enable rankings for the top teams. It may equate to seeding since ESPN treats March Madness as an independent feed.
set
showRankingstotruein your config. Note this is NOT where you configure the individual leagues, but in the module’s general config. -
Good day
Is it also possible to add the Swiss National League?

If there’s an available JSON feed, I’m sure it can be done. I’m currently using feeds from ESPN and SportsNet.ca, neither of which provide score data for the Swiss National League. Do you know of one?

Is there a way to get this working in a client/server setup? If I run MM directly on my server then all is well. If I run it in client /server mode then the client just displays “loading…”

@SH20192 if you open the developers window on the client, ctrl-shift-i, select the console tab and scroll up… do you find any errors? usually red text
-
@sdetweil I’ll check when I get home. Thanks!

Did some troubleshooting on this. Appears to be a conflict between this modules and MMM-GoogleMapsTraffic. If I disable that module then MMM-MyScoreboard works. That modules doesn’t impact any other modules though. Attached pic is the error it shows. Any thoughts? Like I said this only does this with clientonly.

@j-e-f-f No, unfortunately not

Trying to install this and there is an issue with cryptiles . It won’t install and need upgraded cryptiles to version 4.1.3.
-
@lotusvball for me it works fine, I have set up German leagues
-
@Stoffbeuteluwe So I misunderstood the message. It installs but gives a high vulnerability warning. It still needs to be fixed to fix the vulnerability.
