It’s been a little quiet from my side lately, but I have something to show.

Last months I did a retake on Ian Perrin’s MMM-Formula1 module. Currently it is in a github fork of Ian’s version.
I’ve been chatting with Ian and in time he will merge my pull request into his repo.

Just some news about some modules.

Last month I updated most of my modules to reflect the deprecated request module. I know a wee late, but mysterically i didn’t get updates on the MM software.

I replaced request with axios and did some bugfixing on most modules. Also checked al forks for downstream updates and included them.

• MMM-rainfc does a rainforecast for the next hours in The Netherlands and some border countries.

• MMM-Rijks shows art of the Rijksmuseum (also nice if you are not living in the Netherlands;-).

• MMM-bustimes shows dutch public transport. MMM-bustimes is the renamed bustimes module, has some fixes from hervidero included.

• MMM-Harmony shows in the mirror what activity is actual on the Logitech Harmony Hub (if you happen to own such a device)

Today I released a new version of MMM-bustimes. The module was released for the first time in october 2017. Thanks to contributers like koenk, vpilo and hansterwal the module evolved into a nice piece of work.

In the update you’ll find the latest additions from Koen. He added icon’s to indicate transport types, an option to show delay times, a live icon feature, station support and many more.

I made one based on the dutch buienradar api, icw sparkline js. Can upload it to github if you like. It’s a 2 hour forecast graph based on longitude/latitude

Did a full reinstall last week. Last version os contains node, but misses npm. After installing npm the mm install script worked. I had to delete the MagicMirror directory which was kept from the first failed install

@stickyrib with the 2.4 release a heating problem arose with heavy cpu usage due to electron. Is was adviced tot use the fkms (see post michael). When i followed up on this post both alternatives did not work out for me. One option got me star night like flickering in the widgets on screen, the other led to what you described. So I returned to the driver which was used up unto 2.3.
Never thought about powering via the monitor to be the probleproblem/solution, but I do connect it that way.

So still on default screen driver and no heating problem and no flickering.

@Peter Did a small addition with time labels under the graph. checked it in on github.

@electros you could look at mmm-bustimes. It is a similar module and also parses a json file (a different one) into a table

1 run an existing module eg bustimes
2 change the nodehelper to read your datasource
3 decide on the dataformat to feed into the getdom
4 format the dataformat
