    • RE: MMM-solar showing "Loading" and is doing nothing .... did someone get it running?

      @sdetweil
I’m not seeing any errors but I see something strange…
      Down at the bottomit says:
      “…
Sockets connected & moduls started …
      Launching application.
      …”
Then a bit futher down a line reads:
      “…
      Notification: GET_SOLAR Payload: [object object]
      …”

Looks like it’s missing data that it needs to find somewere. Am I right?

      @sdetweil … WOW! :fearful_face: :fearful_face: :fearful_face:
Didn’t know about this! Looks nice!
But back to the problem…in the console tab I can see some errors but not about the Solar module. There are 2 warnings that the Solar module got a notification from another module but don’t think that’s a problem.
I can see 3 errors for the modules: MMM-Buienradar, weatherforcast (openweathermap is unauthorized yet it works fine) and for my crypto coins chart (it can’t find cryptocoin picture/logo’s in a specific folder).
So the Solar-module should work fine looking at this.

      @dazza120 Thanks for the tip!
Downside of that is that I don’t learn how things work.
Doing it myself (with some help of you all wonderfull people here) is the best way of learning things.
I do have SSH setup so I can dail in via my smartphone…but first I need to get better in the commandline commands.

    • MMM-solar showing "Loading" and is doing nothing .... did someone get it running?

I’m having trouble to get the module “MMM-Solar” to work as it should.
There are only 3 things needed to configure the module and I have all 3 of them in the config.js file. The API-key, my userID and my systemID.
But on running the MM2 the module only displays “Loading…”.
I feel like I’m missing a step! I feel like I need to connect my Enphase system to my API-account. But I have no idea how or even if that is needed.

Is there someone who got this module to work and wants to help me?
Or is there a way to get in touch with the module creator so I can ask him what I’m doing wrong?

@idoodler Okay. Thanks for that answer! hehehehe…
Anyway my MM2 is working like it should be after I moved that folder and did the git pull again.
But about the steps to take on how to update a module or a dependency or Node.js in my case… is that written down somewere here on the forum?
Like… all the steps someone needs to take in order to keep MM2 in shape?

    • RE: Updating 6db61b4..de57daa

@dazza120 I’m not using the standard calendar.
But after the update my MM2 works like before. Only the modules I’m working on are still not showing correctly…becouse I’m working on them to get them to work properly. :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat: :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:
But what do you mean with: “…is up the swannie”?
      you mean it doesn’t work?

Just moved the package-lock.js to a new folder “Old files” and run “sudo git pull && npm install” again and it worked for me.
I do get some warnings from “time-grunt@2.0.0” and 2 from npm skipping optional dependency’s but below that it reads: MagicMirror installation succesfull! NICE!.. well…that last word isn’t part of the update! Hahaha

And below that it found 9 vulnerabilities. Is that a problem?

I have the same problem as @costascontis and will try to delete that file.
But I also would like to know what the latest version of Node.js is.
      At https://github.com/nodesource/distributions#debinstall I can see a version 11.x.
my version on the pi 3B+ is v9.11.2
Is that the latest version or must I update to v11.x via:
      sudo su
      curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_11.x | bash -
      apt-get install -y nodejs

    • resizing ALL modules and content

I want to know if it is posible to scale all modules at once as they are!
I’m building a MM for a 37" screen (in portrait mode)but also want the same
MM running in portrait style on the original 7" pi screen.
I thought the MM would be scaled to screen size it’s connected to. So I was expecting to have small/tiny modules.
Yet they are big and all mixed up.

So is there a way to have all modules (incl. text, icons, etc.) be lets say 20% of the normale size?

    • HC-SR04 Ultrasonic sensor question

      Hi there,

got a simple question about the Ultrasonic sensor that I want to use with module MMM-Swipe (it uses 2 Ultrasonic sensors) to controle how I go from one page to the next and back: Can I just drill 4 holes in my frame for the sender and reciever “tubes”? Or am I blocking other things that are on the little board by doin gso?

When I google for support items there is also a hole for this metalic part with 4.000 on it.
NO idea what it it’s function is but just asking here before I build my frame and later find out I needed to cut that out to. :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat: :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat: :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:
