@likesmartlife magicmirror will run on any linux based system and with some tweaking and minor limitations on Windows as well. obviously some modules depend on the PI GPIO pin structure, but just about every module depends on access to services on the internet calendar, news, mail, weather, AND depend on access to the npmjs catalog of service libraries to build on.

@sdetweil I can’t believe I didn’t see it. I have 4 different screens open. Wrote another little program on the side to verify that the styles are working properly. Everything. Just to see now I left out the Y in Styles. Thanks again Sam. You made me look closer. Else I would still be sitting here searching.

Hi…I’m not beyond any doubt which portion isn’t working, so to begin with off, get the MQTTBox installed. Then get that associated to your mqtt, and subscribe to cmnd/hallway/# to see in case you’ll get messages through on the mqtt. If not at that point it’s the mqtt setup, in case there’s , at that point it’s something in MM. You can moreover send MQTT commands throgh the MQTT Box straightforwardly to see on the off chance that the reflect responds to it.

hello, i’ve developed an issue with my public icloud calendar. It was working fine until a few days ago. I now get the error message ‘Error in the calendar module check log…’ The log is returning an error after the url saying ‘service unavailable’ i’ve tried using against another calendar and this then works again. Somewhere the issue is with a particular calendar but i’m not sure how to check where it would be. i’ve tried turning public off and then on again to generate a new url for the calendar, but it seems to create the same one again. Any help appreciated as i’m very basic user of all things pi and MM! Thanks

My original installation was running on a virtualised Pi, and I’ve just finished transferring it to an Xubuntu media PC (Ubuntu variant).
