I built a MM running on Win10 for the kids showing agenda, weather, and news headlines. Now my wife would like one in the kitchen. Not a MIrror, but an information screen to replace our paper calendar. What she’s asking for ideally is a calendar display, with a touch interface to show the daily agenda. If it could also somehow display a recipe on request that would be awesome. Is something like this possible with MM on a PI, and what kind of hardware would I need?

as for the config.js not showing as modified, it is EXPECTED that this file will be modified and so it is not tracked (see the .gitignore file) so that on updates it will not be overwritten

I am looking into building a smart mirror within the next month and would like to have google home functionality integrated. I have been unable to find any information regarding a smart mirror using a pre-existing google home mini. I have only seen them using the google AIY voice kit. I am wondering if the same can be accomplished with my google home mini as has been done with the AIY kit. Thanks.

You don’t need to invent the wheel twice by your own. (Unless your wheel might be squared)

Any follow-up or information on this by admin(s)? Would like to be able to help with this forum spam problem. Reporting/flagging spam messages doesn’t seem to be helping.

Hey guys! I need to use enviromental variables process.env in the config.js. However I am unable to do so in the server only mode. The config.js is used in the “Webinterface”, this obviously don’t have access to the enviromental variables of Node.js. I am using balena-MagicMirror (made by me) to have multiple remotely managed MagicMirrors which all contain basically the same config, but differ in a few things that should be defined as enviromental variables. Anyone know how I can “inject” enviromental variables in the browser with some MagicMirror Module? Edit: I just created a module that will do this [card:idoodler/MMM-ENV-Provider]

I have great news. I finaly had time to work on this again. It is currently working with some caviets. I will push my changes as soon as I resolved them. This is a huge improvement for me, as it enables easy remote management of many MagicMirror installations:)
