    node problem : I can't update my MM and MM disappears from my screen after reboot

      Hello,
      I can’t update my MM, it’s a node problem but I can’t solve it.
      here’s what I did with no results…
      What do you recommend ?

        @RIKKO14 now another module… DHT-Sensor missing a library

          @RIKKO14 after all this time, you still don’t run my scripts?
          and you still don’t remember that to do thing with MM you MUST be in the MagicMirror folder

          npm anything has to have MagicMirror as the current folder

          cd ~/MagicMirror

          then continue on

          yes, this release requires node 18 or 20 as the code depends on the new internal ‘fetch’ function, instead of using external libs…
          was part of the announcement…

          my upgrade script does all the work… as usual

            but the problem stil the same… MagicMirror desn’t launch. Then after i reboot of my pi I do "bash -c “$(curl -sL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sdetweil/MagicMirror_scripts/master/fixuppm2.sh)” but the problem stil the same. MagicMirror doesn’t launch. my screen is :

            there is something I’m doing wrong but I don’t know what and don’t understand…

              @RIKKO14 yes…

              1. install, it fails, already installed…
              It seems like MagicMirror is already installed.
To prevent overwriting, the installer will be aborted.
Please rename the ~/MagicMirror folder and try again.
              1. upgrade, it is doing only test run, so no changes are made…
              doing test run = true, NO updates will be applied!
              1. to ACTUALLY do the upgrade there is a parameter added to the end of the link ‘apply’ (no quotes)
              If you WANT to actually apply the changes, copy/paste this line into the terminal window on your device:

              upgrading from version 2.25.0 to 2.25.0

              BUT, because your code level is already 2.25, upgrade will not work, unless you FORCE it…

              by changing the parm from ‘apply’ to ‘force’ (again no quotes)

              you should NOT clone this repo to your system, you click the link to copy it and then paste and execute directly from github

              and MM won’t start cause u have the new code and old libs, and probably the wrong nodejs version when ‘installed’…

              SO, try upgrade again with the ‘force’ parm

                  run UPGRADE with force

                  I will look for how to fix the gpg key problem
