      @jelbear

      Not that I can think of

      I’m not using a RasPi either.
      If I had one, I would try it to se if any difference.

      Sorry.

        @jelbear - To my knowledge, the only difference between Windows and Linux systems is that you may have to specify the file paths slightly differently. Windows requires you to put any folder with a space in the name in quotes. This can get tricky when you’re passing in a string which is surrounded by quotes and also contains quotes.

        Is there a space in any part of your path to the exampleImages folder?

              Install MagicMirror on a PC Windows 7/10 - Complete walkthrough

              Thank you so much for this post! I’m new to the Pi and MagicMirror. Working on the PI remotely was a bit of pain and this allowed me to run MagicMirror on my main machine with VMWare Workstation.

              First off let me say these instructions were ‘spot-on’ and I was up and running immediately.

              As I added modules, I noticed some of them were not working, a.k.a. not loading any data. They would activate, say “loading…” and nothing else.

              I researched a few of the modules I was using and found one step that needs to be on your list:

              ‘npm install request’

              After that, the modules in question began updating with data.

              Thank you again for giving me a better dev environment to work in!

              Brandon

                Well, the modules that require that package should tell you in their respective readme files but thanks for the headsup. I’m glad you found the tutorial helpful. :-)

                  Hello, I had an EACCESS error thrown when launching the MM as directed in this thread. I was able to fix this error by changing the port number from 8080 to 9000 in config.js

                      It should probably be easy, but I can’t seem to find it. What is the command I can use to start MM on Windows 10 startup?

                        Thanks for a great guide, got me up and running quickly. Can you guide me where do I insert the commands to rotate the display to portrait mode?
