@Mitchfarino
There is no glow, if anything i would like my monitor to be brighter, for daytime use. -
@yawns The y-splitter is a good idea I definitely recommend it. the blue light is the control buttons for the monitor, so I can change settings etc. It was a lot bigger/the size of the foot for the monitor so I cut it down to as small as it would go.

@olliewarren411 Hi, may I ask how you did the Y-splitter? Thank you!
-
@indigomejor Hi,
It’s a pre-made product just so I can power the raspberry pi and my monitor but only have one wall outlet in use. -
@olliewarren411 Oh! I’ve been looking for something like that, but cant find anything, because didnt know what I should write to google, now, I need to find it with EU plug, but thanks! You helped me very much!
-
@olliewarren411 How do you get that microusb for the Pi?
-
@Mitchfarino
I used an apple ipad charger to take from 240V to 5V 2.1Ahttp://www.apple.com/uk/shop/product/MD836B/B/apple-12w-usb-power-adapter?fnode=91
-
@olliewarren411 How does that work? Because the first cable you bought didn’t have anywhere to plug the ipad charger in to?
Sorry for the confusion, I’m just trying to visualise it

This should answer your question: http://www.hdcplayer.com/Up/day_150403/201504030705367346.jpg
You can remove the country specific adapter and plug in an ordinary cable. @MichMich did the same thing after blowing his first charging adapter. -
@yawns thanks very much!
Much better than having two wires coming out
