well, I figured it out… Thats what i get for not pasting the ENTIRE file into the syntax checker. The very first item of very first line had a
]
before the text. dont know how it got there. good thing i copied my original config in a text editor. Thanks for all the help. -
@strawberry-3.141 Sounds nice. but looks not sufficient for beginners. (For me, sometimes configuration problem throws a headache to me. Even that module was which I made.) Maybe we need totally different approach in next version.(But I have no idea how to do. )
I’m not a developer, I worked as products and business designer, so I meet not only experts but also the end users in every day . One thing I’ve found,
MM
is a real good toy for hobbyists. but this approach is somehow difficult to who is not familiar with IT.Whatever, my mention was just grumbling. nevermind. :)

@Sean said in config error somewhere, need help:
all module developers should provide DEFAULT ACTIVE SAMPLE CONFIGURATION.
Personally, I DO provide a config entry with each module and I think most others do, as well. However, I have seen some that were not complete, where copying and pasting would only result in an error.
In the meantime, I refer people to How to add modules, which should give them a better understanding of the process.
