Hi all,
I’m Christian, a 29 year old software developer from Hamburg, Germany. I love mobile and web technologies and new and evolving areas such as smart homes. I just planned to build my first MagicMirror over the next few weekends. You guys really built some cool modules already that I absolutely have to include. A big Thank You for that!
I love that there are already face recognition and voice control modules available, I hope I can help to take the next step with hooking up natural speech control (via Google Cloud Services or Microsoft Cognitive Services).

Hi all,
I’m Slamet PS, a 39 year old hobbist from Bandung, Indonesia. I love tinkering (IoT), also a gunpla modeller and collector and a drone pilot. I completed my first MagicMirror a few weeks a go. One of great products I have ever met.
I also develop a new module (MMM-RandomQuranAyah).
Still tuning the facial-recognition module and plan to add voice-control.
You can find me at FB, instagram, twitter and blog. -
Hello everyone!
My name is Hart and I am 26 from California! I work in software support and am teaching myself some of the development and code aspects of things. I also run a small blog called The Gentlemen’s Society.
I started in the Home Automation world a few years ago when I wanted to make things easier for my wife and have been obsessed since then. I have been wanting a Raspberry Pi, but never pulled the trigger, until I found the MM project! It finally gave me the reason to buy one and now I want more. Got my first “mirror” up and running, which I am using as a dashboard on my TV.
Can’t wait to meet all of you and look forward to the awesome things to come! This is a great community!

Hello all,
I’m funkdafied a 43 year old newbie to the pi world and found the magic mirror and figured I would give it a try. I’m working on my first one and started with getting the system up, running, and configured the way I want before I build the frame. Looking forward to learning as much as I can.
Regards,
Funkdafied

Hallo

@SChweden-Maik Hi Maik, welcome to the forum.
A lot of stuff you’re trying to achieve is already possible with MagicMirror. There several voice recognition modules, a face recognition module and also modules to show missed calls

I have been trying to setup the mirror for some time now, but running into some difficulties, specifically with MMM-Alexa and a couple of other modules.
Great to see such a big community trying to build MM’s!Thanks a lot and great to meet all.

I’m Stéphane from Belgium (Flemmish part). Noob in RPi and MM but willing to learn. :) My job is end user support for a international company, mainly Windows machines. Not building a Magic “Mirror” but it will be more something like a kiosk at home with some info for all house members (The Misses, the almost 3 year old girl and myself[47 years “old”). Still in discovery phase and looking at all modules that I could use. The spare time is filled with some nice motorbike rides in BE, NL or GER :)
