Not that anyone would need to see this but I thought I’d share just for reference ( it’s blowing air out ).
I just cut a hole and glued the four corners of the fan down ( can take it out any time I wish ).

@AAPS
Honestly I think this thing def. needs a fan even with a heatsink. It gets way too hot. I have not finished with OS set up and config quite yet though so it’s not my focus yet, case wise. I had to open the top part of the case even though it was well ventilated, I added a fan and sinse then it’s been running cool to the touch where that was not the case with an open case and heatsink. I will def. encorporate a fan once I get to that point in my build.
@strawberry-3.141
No TY Sir, I want to learn on my own but I also never give access to my machines, even if it is just the Pi. It’s cool, I’ll work on it. TY for the offer Sir!
embarrassed to even ask this but is there a step by step typed out of this other than what’s in the “README.dm” file, I mean some thing a little more detailed? noob status. apologies. I saw bminer1’s post but I’m looking for even more detail than that since I don’t know all the correct command lines. I have the .apk, just need help as my install failed.
Phoenix, AZ here but originally from El Paso, TX. in USA.
@theusu5k Yeah, Google Music would be a bomb widget on here.
@fox agreed.
would be cool if he would share that w/the rest of us. LOL
Haven’t tried but If dropbox can run on Pi, all you need is this module?
Anyone have a forum or link for the photobooth builds?
This would also be so fun to build and have but on the coding side I’m no expert. On every thing else I’m handy enough to find solutions I think.
@cowboysdude
Funk it… I was already troubleshooting cause I had already did it! LOL!!!
Now I have to look up how to remove them, I haven’t done linux in 10 years.
That’s what happens when you get too excited and don’t pay attention. DOH.
Thanks!
@yawns
Dude, thanks a Mill!
So for this music one it would be
cd to my MagicMirror/modules directory and execute the below as well.
git clone https://github.com/masters1222/mm-music-player
Wow, doesn’t get easier than that! LOL
Thanks for the quick response man!
*** Did an EDIT correction on the which directory to CD to since @cowboysdude was nice enough to point that out, given that I didn’t pay attention. I didn’t want anyone else to find this later and have the same mistake happen to them because of me. LOL
Great work EoF.
Just came over from the YouTube channel to check out your shared knowledge. Pretty awesome stuff man! Thanks for sharing with us, I have not implemented this yet as I’m still working on other kinks in my MM2.
I wonder if any one has found a way to tie into Google Play Music since I have all my music on there already?
Cheers!
*** Hey EoF or anyone that’s possibly reading this, can anyone help with how to/where to load the “MM-Hide-All” files that EoF created to hide all text and make it reappear? All I was able to do was put the “module” text into the config.js and that’s it. LOL
Noob status…
Hello all, my name is Daniel and go by 1m2 on diff. forums and what not.
I live in hot as heck Phoenix!
I’m 37 years old and gathering materials now to build my own mm2.
Been in IT for 16 some years, last 2-3 years I have been working as an Application Integration Test Engineer.
Love gadgets and tinkering but I’m not a heavy coder at all myself so I may enlist assistance from my code savvy brother only he doesn’t know it yet. lol.
My hobby thus far has been chopping up car dashes and removing the crappy radio’s they usually have and fabricating removable tablets into them with aftermarket hidden HU’s.
And… I don’t like long walks on the beach, only short ones.
Cheers!
