@strawberry-3-141 and @ganget I’m so sorry guys, perhaps I didn’t think to clear when I wrote “just one”. I hope you can forgive this cold guy! Of course you can test it, there is no secrets :) It consist of code from several modules, where we think we have taken the best parts and put’em in a single module. sdetweil has also done a masterpiece with disabling the mic of pocketsphinx so the module can be used as Hotword to call other online modules like AssistantMk2. My goal was just to have it tested on multiple platforms and HW devices before letting it free ‘in the wild’. Me and @Mykle1 have tested on different amd64’s with integrated webcam’s and Ubuntu 16.04, and I’ve tested myself on Asus Tinker Board S with TinkerOS 2.0.8 and external webcam. Feel free to test and test, perhaps come with good feedback, even participate to make this module better :) PM sent!

Hi, What if I have original Google AIY version 1 module, could GassistPi replace the custom image provided by Google, and would it work perfectly? Thanx, /TheStigh

i posted an update for the MMM-Voice repo that implements the mic sharing via voice command and cross module notifications… still need a fallback mechanism in case no other module claims the mic, right now I have a hard coded 10 second timer just to prove it works

Hi, Anybody know a way to put MMM-voice on hold? Reason is to stop listening on MIC when a command is passed to a different module which also uses mic (I’m activating AssistantMk2, but Voice is occupying the mic at all time). Hotword support this feature, but Snowboy doesn’t support newer versions of OS on other platforms than Stretch on Pi/ATB. Thanks, TheStigh

@justjim1220 Thanks, I do appreciate your kind words. However, as @THeStigh mentioned, @Sean uses a cleaner (re: better) way of doing things. This better way of doing things just might inspire me to redo Lucy. :-)

Hi all, As I will try to get more power to my MM, I would like to use an old laptop for my project. But, I need of course a different solution than for the RPi and I know particularly Hotword and AssistantMk2 uses libs that are not fully compatible for combinations amd64 and later builds of Linux. I’ve tested Debian Stretch, amd64 version and it will not work: Hotword: Snowboy will not run (compiles without errors) and gives pointer error at npm start AssistantMk2: compile with electron-rebuild fails due to grpc issues. Have anybody made these two modules run with Ubuntu 16.04 or other flavours?

      ?
@thestigh If sensitivity was set wrongly, It might have possibility of not-distinguishing pattern of your voice. Too high sensitivity for model would make hard to catch your hotword, Too low sensitivity for model would make indistinction between hotwords and similar words. Anyway, this issue about voice model and sensitivity is related to your environment of real usage , there is no silver bullet for common cases. Each case is different with others. So you need to optimize values of them to fit to your environment by yourself. Try many values and find optimized values for you.

@thestigh I think this could be one of alternatives; MMM-Voice https://github.com/fewieden/MMM-voice It has features simple voice commands in itself. You can use this standalone or Waker for MMM-AssistantMk2 (I haven’t tried but I have a will to help you)

      ?
@thestigh I’m not sure this is exact solution. However, Some system (like ATB) has an issue to execute Electron of MM (after 2.x - new GPU acceleration). You can run MM as serveronly mode to use your existing Chrome Browser instead Electron. You can make a script to execute MM serveronly mode and Chrome to display it. Or you can try this to disable GPU. npm start -- --disable-gpu

Hi all, My first post in the forum, but just after a couple of days I’ve been reading tons of documents, seen Youtube video’s and using Google a lot :) (what else to do when the snow-storms are blowing outside my windows…?). My question is about what modules are suited and will work the best together based om what I’m hoping to achieve. First; this is what I got: Several RPi 3B+'s 1 Google AIY Voice Kit (v1) Enough monitors to use :) Google Home Patience, and a lot of it What I want to achieve is: MM should have multiple modules Use Facial Recognition to use classes for personalized modules/information Ability to talk to the mirror to show/hide modules and open streams in an iFrame Use Google Assistant to do “general Google Assistant stuff” Use Assistant/Voice module to open maps and other stuff from internet within an iFrame So - what modules to use? Been looking at: MMM-Hello Lucy MMM-AssistantMk2 or Google AIY Voice Kit MMM-Facial-Recognition Hope I will get some good feedback from any of you pro’s Thanks, and also thank you all for all the good stuff, hints, solutions and other reading I find in this forum! Regards from above the arctic circle, TheStigh
