@Senathon i did so test install checks and after fixing a couple things, it hears the request, but can’t send it… my service on another platform works… so something is wrong with this module… but it hasn’t been maintained in years. .

@Blackeye ignore the warnings, nothing we can do about them. the ‘problem’ here is that the compiler needs to know what version of electron to build for, but can’t figure it out. using electron-rebuild from the mm libs solves that

@Richard238 yeh I hear yah. but libraries way down below mm freaked out cause they couldn’t connect to some service to get data. and the error specifically means mapping the text NAME of the service server to the IP address needed for actual communications your wfh probably isn’t a cessing those sites. most of the libraries and modules have limited recovery capabilities

I have noticed the same thing, or rather my Ma has on the one I made for her. Some times the news won’t update until it power cycles again. If nothing bad happens to the breaker sometimes will display same news from a month ago.

Try using FullPageOS https://github.com/guysoft/FullPageOS It works fine on a pi zero.

@plainbroke reloading 36 modules and getting them all to work as expected ,takes some time. Almost there today. MMM-RSTPStream is being difficult not wanting to play nice with vlc for some reason this round… Guess 5 different instances is too many. eventhough I have them spread out in the list of modules that carousel runs for me…

@mvrlogins I had to add code to my module, that started a 14 minute timer on entering sleep mode. if motion happened before the timer expired the timer was stopped. if the timer expired, I set a variable and then started the wake up routine. during the wakeup, if the variable was set is started a second timer for 1 second when that second timer expired I cleared the variable and then started the sleep routine again… repeat as needed. causes a short flash every 14 minutes, but mostly this happens at night, when u are sleeping anyhow. energy star compliance requires power off (or low power suspend mode) after 15 minutes of no use.

this was an incorrect upgrade process… git pull, then restore package.json to prior release (because it was modified for some reason) , then npm install…

Hello all. Recently the weather radar I was using for the Eye Candy module quit working so I used the // to stop the module from loading until I could find a suitable alternative. I think I found one (after several months away) and when I try to boot after putting in the new URL for the gif, I’m told there is no config file. I am completely lost and frustrated. The MM works with all the other modules, it’s just the Eye Candy module that I can’t get configured and working. Any ideas, suggestions, help or cold water to the face will be greatly appreciated. We’ve come to love our mirror and miss the weather radar. Thanks in advance.
