MMM-DarkSkyForecast - Yet ANOTHER weather module
-
OpenWeatherMaps now introduced a new OneCall-API which is similar to the old DarkSky. There is even a table for migrating from DarkSky to OpenWeather. Maybe someone who has coding skills could see rebuild this lovely module? In the end Dark Sky API will be discontinued completely so everyone will need to look out for something else :)

You can’t use a Climacell API key with MMM-DarkSkyForecast.
-
any other key I can use ?
-
Each module has directions on how to acquire the proper API, or it should. Darksky requires a Darksky API key but they no longer issue free keys. You would have to purchase one in that case. Free Climacell API keys work with modules utilizing Climacell data, and so forth, and so on. You already have a Climacell key. That will work with modules using Climacell data
Please refer to the readme file of each module you wish to use
-
@Mykle1 They’re not even issuing paid ones. This module is dead to new users as a result.
-
Yes, if you’re talking about Darksky. We were discussing Climacel as well, which does issue free API keys. But you already knew that, being the head investigator of the MM forum.
-
har har, Mykle. :)
You know if anyone has used Climacel data for a module? That looks really promising… (For now, knowing how weather companies get bought up)
